In this video I show how easy it is to build a nail with builder gel using nail forms. I also show how to use the forms to easily apply glitter shards. My trouble is when I do the gel into the nail form and press onto my nail and then under the lamp if I turn my nail upside down theres a big gap of air between my nail and the gel , so i have to fill it in with more gel.. Maybe my natural apex is bigger than the form? If I start off with more gel, like you said it oozes out. Sometimes I think I did a good job and then it shows up when I paint them.. Only my third time but I'm getting there!

It doesn’t have a tacky layer because that’s the inhibition layer. It’s when there’s gel that’s exposed to oxygen so by putting the nail form on top, no gel was exposed ☺️

@@MelissasManis no problem! I’m not a nail tech but I learned about that from someone who is. Her YT channel is called: The Nail Hub. She works mostly with gel and is an online retailer or something. Anywayyy, all of that to say, she’s an instructor and her page has lots of videos explaining anything nail related. Nail structure, how gel works, shaping...in case you find all that educational stuff interesting like me lmao. PS - those nails came out beautiful. And the marbled ones from the previous video too. I wouldn’t have thought to do a marble with the powders like that. I’m learning a lot of cool techniques from you as well 🥰

I have heard good things about IBD, Triple D, but can't really say as I haven't used them. She will have hers back in bottle soon!

Do you prefer using gel base over using the glue method? I so why and it as strong? For dipping.

I prefer dip liquids as they're stronger and easier to remove.

@Melisssa hi, I wonder what’s the best removal process for builder gel/hard gel? I always been wanting to try out hard gel but I like soaking it off once I’m done with a set.

Hi! Hard gel cannot be soaked off. Not all builder gel is hard gel though so some can be soaked off. The Double Dipp'd one I use in this video can be soaked off.

Well, how can I not like this video? For starters you used 1 of my Top .5 Fav Nail colours: Purple. And secondly that iridescent nail is GORGEOUS!! 🥰 We don't have Michael's here in the UK, but great to know I can use other crafting products (other than fine glitters) to create beautiful nail designs. I'm actually going to attempt to use B.G for my Dip Nail Mani later this afternoon. Wish me luck. 😏
