How to burn MP3 files and folders to CD using K3b in Linux (Linux Mint and Ubuntu)

This tutorial video will show you step by step how to burn MP3 files and/or folders to a CD using the free well-known CD/DVD burning software K3b in Linux (e.g., Linux Mint and Ubuntu).
You can make a MP3 CD with only songs, but if you want a more organized and easier to navigate disc, then it's a good idea to place all songs in folders and then burn the folders to a disc.
The reason I use K3b instead of Brasero (default CD/DVD burning program of Linux Mint and Ubuntu) is that K3b is more popular (better reviews and higher ratings) and has more features.
You can easily install K3b via Software Manager or via the Terminal using the following command line: sudo apt-get install k3b

A brilliant video, thanks, I downloaded the K3b & when I opened it up, I had this message :--- MP3 Audio Decoder plugin not found. K3b could not load or find the MP3 decoder plugin. This means that you will not be able to create Audio CDs from MP3 files. Many Linux distributions do not include MP3 support for legal reasons. Solution: To enable MP3 support, please install the MAD MP3 decoding library as well as the K3b MAD MP3 decoder plugin (the latter may already be installed but not functional due to the missing libmad). Some distributions allow installation of MP3 support via an online update tool. Could you please tell me how to get over this? Many thanks.

Got the same message, tried to find the plugin + libmad to no avail. 11 months passed and no workaround on this has yet been provided. Any links or suggestions to fix this?

I solved with this: sudo apt install libk3b7-extracodecs

And how can we burn mp3 as a cd track in Ubuntu? I was doing it in win media player easly and niw I neer the same in Ubuntu.

Does not recognize +rw,optical drive, but says read only. ?Endless searching forums misdirecting to everything else. I don't want to write to my hdd, pen drive,external drive. I want my os to recognize my hardware, then do the most basic of functions. Who controls the forums they're mostly useless. This video is nice for people who can't follow instructions or figure the most simple stuff, but what about this real problem? Recognizes optical drive incorrectly as read only. grr.
