You do in fact not pay taxes when you borrow from your 401k or stocks as long as you pay it back on time. That is tax exempt. Just like a bank loan isn't income, neither is a loan from yourself.

In my opinion. I would try and catch a cheap flight to make sure there is no body damage to the car and everything matches up. Or pay a few hundred dollars to have an out of state (PPi) Pre-purchase -inspection done. The last thing you want to do is get the car back to your house and there is water damage body damage and they lied about the actual mileage. Best of luck to you best of luck to you
