How to buy a cheap modern airplane

Great to see what goes on in buying a plane. (From someone who knows nothing about aviation) almost as simple as buying a car. Can we have an updated 'garage tour' type thing, well it'd be a hangar tour of all the current air craft in your fleet, how often you fly them and how you choose what to fly on what trips etc. Keep smashing it - All the way from England!

Love that plane! I flew N160CP across and around the United States with myself and my Grandpa the Summer of 2022.

Had me cracking up ‘it’s gonna be weird landing not having thrust reversers’ 😂 You normally look cool calm and confident UNTIL you get out of a Gulfstream and into a single bouncing around the sky. Love it. Maybe use it as a trainer for students coming up. A Cirrus at a Cessna training price…. Keep em coming!

I’m on my second Cirrus now (2021 SR22T G6, & now a 2024 SR22T G7) - it’s a great plane. I look forward to watching your hopeful video series on upgrading your new SR20.

ATP pilot, A&P, look's like your working hard in life. My dad had a crushed ankle in his 70's. Several surgeries and a fused together bone made it tough for him to go from a parking lot to the back of a store without stopping to sit down. He was too proud to ever get a Handicap Sticker. As a fellow A&P IA, thought your channel was pretty cool. Always had an affection with the G4. No ill wishes, you might be the most awesome guy in the world, but I'm scratching my head right now!

Man, been watching for a while. I am 47, retired military. I started flying back in the end of Jan. 20 hours of training so far and really love flying. I don't know if I will make it a career, but seeing what you do definitely inspires me to give it a shot.

Man, you're lucky. You just signed less paperwork on that plane than I've signed, so far, on the house we just bought. Seems like the paper goes on forever. But, it will be worth it. I'm glad you mentioned it in the video I was looking at the view behind the laptop as you're purchasing this 150k plane, so surreal but you're not lost in the sauce so you can appreciate it. Yes VFR is a pain in the ass but it's all I know, seemed like a standard day flying around socal vfr. I fly out of KVNY, always loved cirrus, I'll be following this build closely as it's definitely a goal plane, curious to see how much this is all going to cost and see if it's feasible at some point for me.

About to take my Instrument Checkride and I hope to keep going and get my commercial. I’d love to have a Cirrus to build time in. Maybe we will cross paths one day.

Love the helping out student pilots idea: would love to have a video explaining how that is possible: I know there would likely be some complications with insurance and that is likely why few aircraft owners are willing to go through that.

I bought a 172 and I love the thrill of stepping into a little bit of the unknown, followed by upgrades for one’s taste. I started doing the harness for Dual G5 and a 750 with GTX 345R. Great video I felt part of this journey. I will own a cirrus one day. It’s one of my favorites 🙌

Crazy I’m a A&P and a IA as well and I’m literally uprooting everything in four weeks to go to Pilot school flying 3-4 days a week. I never seen your videos and it’s just popped up. I think it’s kinda crazy lol

As always - loving the content more or less whatever it is about, because you do cool shit and have a great attitude and approach to things - keep it up buddy ! love the "Whoops" approach to the whole "nothing works" and then its Error 40 :D (40 cms from the error, aka human error) PS Not a pilot or anything (IT Guy) but love the content, and think Cirrus' are cool, cept when the cost of maintaining the chute comes into play :D but they have a cool approach to cockpit setups - looking ofrward to seeing the upgrades/renovationd

Not use to those little bumps huh. That's the world of piston engines at low altitudes, But hey, you will get use to it. I would love to be able to rent out that plane if you think of doing that. I'm based in Phoenix though. I do have prior experience in the Cirrus SR20, with over 160 hours in that make and model.
