Well yes they only wanna give 1/2 the retain and then sell 3,000-3,500 used. That’s the Black bay 58 I think….retail is only 4k plus taxes. So for like 4,300 here in Orlando I’d have a new one and I’d rather that new…
@Chris England same here man! You just get those shitty vibes when you whatch him like he knows exactly how to rip people off cause he's been doing it so long.
No wonder the grey market always takes a beating when ever there’s a tiny hiccup in the economy. These flippers add absolutely no value to the product or process yet still want to make 10%+ on every transaction. No wonder this industry attracts so many shonks and weasels. They just over inflate real prices til the market needs to correct itself. What’s scary though is how many fakes and replicas switch hands.
@@SkarKingg it’s really not like that in every industry and using ‘car salesmen’ as an example is fricking hilarious 😂 they are notoriously known as sleazy/ dodgy, yet even they offer warranties and provide services like servicing / repairs and finance. Etc that’s why buying a car via a dealership costs you more than buying privately, they add value and offer services to the transaction . These kids flipping watches do not, they add nothing but cost
@@SkarKingg only for certain models and only for certain brands. Chrysler dealerships are discounting the hell out of their cars, Volkswagen are discounting except for the type R Honda discounting everything or at least selling that sticker Toyota dealerships are the only ones that are jacking the prices up and I used to work at one so trust me, they ripped people off I couldn’t do it anymore. It was ridiculous. They tried to rip me off on a 4Runner, and I worked there
2022 Tudor Black Bay Fifty Eight with a Navy Blue leather strap. Retails at boutiques new at about $3500, found it as low as $2600 new from private seller. At $3200 it's not much of a deal.
@@lolpocalypse You make no sense, even if I buy the watch at $2600 I wouldn't even be able to break even let alone sell it at $3000. For $2600 it's a ok deal for someone to buy it for themselves not to make a profit. As for the private seller, I found the seller one year ago at Chrono24, so I don't know why you put quotes on private seller as if I'm lying. No one is going to buy that watch for $3200 let alone $3000 especially a reseller.
to be honest, that is a cool story and would never happen today. I bet you've told countless people that story and the conversations it's stated were probably worth it TECHNICALLY being a frankenwatch lol.
@@dom765smith3 ehhh. So dude paid 2600 for the leather strap blue black bay 58. Box and papers online they’re listed as low as 2800, but with eBay fees that’s like 2500 bucks. Not to mention that’s just list price, the watch sells between 2300-2800 full kit. This was not a flip he can’t really make money of this, he kinda just bought it for himself it seems. It wasn’t a bad price but it’s not a flip.
This whole watch phenomenon is crazy. I bought a Seiko chronograph in 1978 for $125. At one time I had to have a complete new movement and Crystal . That was $100. It’s now valued at about $650. I bought it because I fell in love with it. Never thinking it would go up in value.
Yes she is because he is a reseller no profit to be made that is a rip off you don't know anything about the secondary market obviously or just have more money than sense
I honestly couldn't imagine spending $20k on a watch. I spend $30 on a Walmart watch and they last me over 5 years at a time haha I'd rather give $20k to people who need it instead of a billion dollar scam company
This is such a strange comment. I mean, why are you on a mid-price New York watch reseller's youtube page if you don't care about watches? Why do we need to know what you want to do with your money? Why do you care what other people are doint with theirs? Like, who is this for? Do you know what the comment section does? Like, everyone can see this. So bizarre. Here's a free tip for you: instead of being a self-absorbed freak absolutely dying to let the public know your every passing thought, go read about watches and why people care about them for a minute with an open mind. Maybe you'll actually learn something worthwhile instead of polluting the internet with whatever this is.
Black bay 58, retail is around $3500 plus tax. $3200 flat is a bit high but not crazy. $3000 is a better deal. But these clips are all theater, of course this lady knows how much this watch retails, but they gotta play for some drama for the audience.
It’s cute that she’s hitting them up for this kind of a watch but like the bro only moves like high-end watches barely makes couple hundred bucks doing that. Don’t think there’s any money in a $3000-2000 watch.
@@K_j_M A day and date on a watch is what’s classed as a complication and some people like to have complications on their watch it’s what attracts them to a particular time peice, this is also the same for a moon phase , you don’t need it because you can just look up at night and see the moon ,or the sun and moon dial , we all know when it’s day or when it’s night but it’s another complication some people want decorating their dial , it’s not a matter of needing so much as it is wanting
If it's only worth 2200 then paying more than 1800 makes no sense. If it's worth 2600, my estimate, 2200 makes sense as an offer. 3200 asking makes it hard to even make any offer..
