Hi, what is Express-to Shinkansen ticket set (that u showed in the very beginning) vs the Nazomi train? Also, we will be bringing on medium size luggage (about 160cm in total dimension) where do we place those on board? Overhead compartment? Thanks so much!

It depends on your ticket you buy! You can only hold about 20,000 yen on your Suica so if your ticket is more then you may be in a pickle😝. I’ve never tried to mix currencies before like Suica and cash in the same transaction I would play it safe and use JPY

Maybe they did an update or something but there were points of the ordering process that were very different so we ended up going to the ticketing office to get our tickets. The machine required us to insert an ic card as part of the reservation process but we didn't have ic cards and were using the suica app on our phones instead. We love your videos but the train station was too crazy so we had to seek professional assistance.

15000Y - that's $100USD 1 way. Just for reference the Hokuriku Arch Pass is $200 USD good for 7 days (unlimited travel/use). Yes it's longer but I think it's worth it!

Hello! 😊 it shouldn’t charge too much. It will be marginal! I say get it online if it brings you peace of mind! Also try Klook app. It’s soooo easy. You just buy it and then scan the QR code. It’s in English and simple to do. I’m trying to do a video on it but I have a few others that need to be launched first

I would say it’s not much of a difference. I prefer to not deal with online QR codes or vouchers if I don’t have to haha but that’s just me. And I don’t know if my plans will change so I prefer to buy there! 😝

That makes sense. I know Klook doesn’t let you choose your seats or have the option to reserve large luggage space which I’ll need. And I’ve been having trouble with the smart ex app (issues always come up)…so I think I’ll take your advice and purchase it when I get there! Hopefully there’ll be plenty of seats left, that’s the only concern I have! Thanks so much :)

Hi! You don’t! Suica is a different card just for local lines and is also Emoney to pay for things. Shinkansen bullet train ticket will be a paper ticket just for the bullet train and nothing else :)

To be honest, it depends on how much you plan on using the subway to see if it’s worth trying to find it and who to talk to when you’re there. But it’s called Tokyo Subway Ticket and it’s a pretty good price for 72 hours. I’ve never used it so I cannot confirm where to get the actual pass but here is the Tokyo metro website. If you ride the train 3x in 24 hours then you made your moneys worth. Alternatively you can just pay solo tickets which is cheap :). i will be hopping on and off tokyo trains on the underground alot in 2 days plus i plan to take the skyliner from narita aiport to nippori and you can get that in the bundle, looks quite cheap@@buildyourmoxie

For this trip I didn’t buy a JR pass. And here's me wondering why my tickets wouldn't work? Went to the service line to see an agent to purchase tickets from and stayed in line for about three or so minutes before thinking to myself, eh, why would I wait in this long, 20, 30 min line when I can just go to the machine and do it myself? Welp, went to it, bought my tickets to Niigata from Tokyo station and went to use the tickets only for it to NOT work. The attendant at the gate said that I needed to go in line. Aaaand it was even longer. Bruh, not sure why it didn't work. Was a waste of my time.
