Wall ovens should be an easy purchase. It’s just the oven part of your stove without the burners.
However, it is more confusing with more brands, feature possibilities, and combinations than any other product.
In this video, you will learn how to buy an oven step by step through sizes, then gas vs electric, then some of the better features including smart functionality.
You can use this video whether you are simply replacing an existing oven or buying a new kitchen.
Look at your size options first, especially if you are replacing an existing wall oven.
Then consider the different options. Do you need a double oven, or would you be more suited for a more customized selection of steam, speed or microwave along with a single oven?
Then spend some time looking at the oven capabilities and features say like a Miele MasterChef Versus Wolf Gourmet Versus a Jenn-Air Cuisine Center or GE versus KitchenAid
Lastly, if you are buying more sophisticated wall ovens, you should see them working before you buy.
Also, because the technology is evolving, you also want to know who will fix your new wall oven.

When will Chef Saba demonstrate the various oven technologies by, say, baking an angel food cake in an example of each oven? 🎂 Have great weekend, Yale.

@@YaleAppliance1 I can tell! Kudos to whoever is hitting the keys on your side. Have you considered asking a customer, either somebody buying a significant appliance, or switching to a new technology (steam oven, induction range) or maybe even a whole-kitchen upgrade, to be interviewed about their decisions? Or maybe a monthly contest where a customer gets to co-host an episode with Steve?

4:28 "GE has made a commitment to smart functionality", Too bad they haven't made a commitment to quality. Every piece of of GE we have is in terrible shape, the microwave just melted down, it's 4 years old. My dad's GE refrigerator had issues as well. As a result we're not considering ANY GE brand for our new kitchen.

Several weeks ago, Yale replaced my beloved but waning 50+ year old GE oven (same model Julia Child used in her early cooking shows, but hers was a double). I bought a GE Cafe single oven, and am thrilled with it so far! The cavity is great, the door window’s huge, the interior light is fab, and I can easily read the panel from 15’ away! It does an amazing and even broil (it’s an 8-pass broil element). I’ve yet to try bread or pastries. It does take a while to preheat bake-wise (20 min to reach 450 deg F). I won’t use any of the remote features - I’m a very hands-on home chef and don’t like programmable stuff in my kitchen. The installation went smoothly, and the installer left the area immaculate. A+ to Yale.

Well I had picked out a Dacor for our new home but, now I’m not so sure.

My question is about replacing an older double oven with a new one. I have a 15+ yo Bosch that measures 47.75 “ from top to bottom and everything we have found today measures 50+ “. We only have 1/4” at the top till it touches the upper cabinet door and 1.1/2” at the bottom till it touches the drawers. It is electric and we can not find any that will fit in that space without replacing the entire cabinet. It is a Bosch HBL 456 a uc. No parts are available anymore. Help !! Can you recommend any that might fit in the same opening? Thanks

Not 100% sure exactly who would still make a cutout that size but Frigidaire or GE should. If you strike out there I would ask how much you are using your second oven? You could always replace you unit with a single oven and a speed or steam oven. Many customers are getting rid of the second oven for something more versatile.

Do any brand provide electric wall oven with 120 volt?? If yes will that affect the performance??
@YaleAppliance1
@YaleAppliance1 2 года назад
No one makes a full size electric oven on 120v power. It wouldn't be sufficient to power up all elements in the unit.

How do you feel about Bosch ovens?

Bosch makes a solid wall oven. They are going through some much-needed updates with their cooking product that should help them compete with the better non-professional units on the market.

I can't figure out why it's needed. A waste of technology. Put the good stuff in the quality of the appliance.
