Step one, buy your new record.
Step two, buy one of those crappy Crosley cruisers underneath them to play them on.
Done!

Good thing I rescued a Technics SL-220 from going to the dump back in 2016. All it needed was a new belt and a new cartridge. Got a new belt and an Audio-Technica AT-VM95E cartridge for it along with a late 80s Onkyo TX-850 receiver I found on ebay(my parents had that model of receiver when I was little). My dad sent me some Sony SS-B1000 bookshelf speakers, and I now love spinning vinyl.

My local Best Buy just got rid of all the CDs and has expanded the vinyl section. Fortunately they do sell a few Audio-Technica models.

Audio-Technica is pretty good, so at least they have something decent to play them on.

I like how these are coming down in price because people are not buying them anymore. Still not as cheap as the zenith allegro system I bought though. It may not be the highest end record player, but it sure beats those things.

I've seen these new LPs out there today and I rather get me the Turntable Record Players like RCA Victor, Pioneer, Panasonic, Technics, or Sharp. Crosley and Emerson products are lack of sound clarity, and the quality is a POG.

I'll just stick to my 45 year old BSR turntable that still sounds amazing.

Laughed, the first time I saw that, at my local Wally-World. $25+ records w/ Crosleys (et. el.) below. And on that note, while I'm iffy on any new vinyl, I absolutely refuse to buy reissues of 70s/80s stuff (e.g. their $45 copy of _The Wall_). I'd rather seek out original pressings!

The QC on these is so bad that I've seen some of them turn the grooves a different color as the record played. Often, this is due to a poor quality needle and too much tracking pressure. I can promise you that if I ever bought one of those $40 or $50 records, I would not play it on what amounts to a 21st century kiddie record player that is not much more in cost than some of the records.

Believe me, a real audiophile will NOT play their records on that garbage. They would play them on high quality turntables like a Technics 1200 or so. The Crosley Cruiser's is for people that are too lazy to look for something good to play them on. Or they believe that modern means better.

I still have that brand new one that's dead. Got it from Greedwill.

Sadly, a Soundesign turntable (which was a cheap P.O.S. back in the day) is better than a Crosley. Heck, a Yorx is better than a Crosley.

They are better, not by much but better than a Crosley.

Thank God I still have my AT-LP60, to say the least.... had it for about three years (give or take), and I have had absolutely no problems with either the turntable or any of my records being damaged!!! Anyway, great video.....

Awesome! Except the records are likely astronomical prices, and today's music sucks.

Wait so how is it a piece of shit exactly? I'm curious to know. You know, because I want to know so I don't accidentally buy it.
@EmersonCollie
@EmersonCollie 3 года назад
It's cheaply made, the needle will tear up your records in a short time and the quality of it over all is poor.

@@EmersonCollie ok. Thank you very much for that information.
