I was so stuck on my frequency question for work because it has been years since i have done this. hours i was frustrated looking for examples online. other videos did not help. this video helped me within the first four minuets and i understood completely and easily and was able to make it work and give the right answers. thank you very much for making a great concise and easily understandable video.

Just two questions; 1st, why do you take h as 20 and not 21? 2nd, the lower limit of median class should be taken as 40 or 39.5?

Hello. h is the class size . This is exclusive class interval type. The upper limit is excluded from the class interval. By defination, h = upper class limit- lower class limit . That is why it is 20, not 21. It is like doing 10 - 5 = 5 and not 6. Again, this is exclusive,not inclusive class interval type.we won't need to make any class limit as 39.5. so the lower limit of median class will be 40 not 39.5 . Pls let me know if u have any questions or doubts.

If C.I and C.B are the same, then that means both are exclusive type and it will be the same whether we take C.I or C.B However, if they are different,it means it is inclusive type, so we should take all values from C.B only,because in C.B there is no gap between the class intervals, which is needed for the median formula. Pls let me know if this helps.
