How to work out your property investment return on investment. This is all that matters. You buy a property and you need to know how much return on investment you're going to receive. I've been asked a lot about how I calculate my return on a property investment and why I don't use yield.
ROCE is the BEST way to work out how to calculate your return on a property investment. Over the last 10 years I've built a system on how I work out quickly my return on investment. Sometime I don't need to even visit the property.
If you want to learn more about what I do and fancy a chat about other things then message me on Instagram @JamieYorkAspire and put "RU-vid" :)

Great content Jamie, please keep them coming. Can I ask how you deal with your rent increases over time? Do you try to increase them in line with inflation or just when you change tenants etc?
@JamieYork
@JamieYork 3 года назад
Every year if I can then there is no big jump down the line. If a Tenant is in a property for 5 years then I bump their rent an extra £100 then they are going to be shocked where as £20 a year is easier to deal with
@LJ-be8cl

Hey Jamie, Great video! Thank you for sharing your generous knowledge and helping others. I definitely gaining knowledge, especially with the tax subject. I have 1 question to ask though if you wouldn't mind. So I bought my first buy-2-let property off plan in Liverpool L1 mortgage free( outright) and rented. My next move is to purchase another or two to build a portfolio, taking a first-time self-employed mortgage down the line, any word of advice you could share? Thank you for all the help and spare time in advance.

So helpful. The only thing that scares me away from property investing is the idea that I put so much money into my portfolio then house prices nose dive and I’m financially crippled and I can’t pay off all the interest only mortgages I’ve taken out. Is there any protection for property investors in this regard?
@JamieYork
@JamieYork 3 года назад
I completely understand. There is risk in every investment. Long term property is pretty safe. We're an island and there is only certain areas we can build and the demand for property will continue to rise. My best bit of advice is to educate yourself and make smart decisions!
