maybe i missed it but why when calibration how did you get the adjustment number? wouldnt the amount you need to adjust it by be the number of the difference? also when calibrating it why wouldnt you just set it to the number the multimeter said it was? 6:55 you lost me there. why on earth would you do that? seems like if you just set the isdt to what the multi meter said you wouldnt have the variance you do at 10:25
Quick question. Why the spreadsheet? Could you not align the V on each port of the isdt with the recorded one from the voltmeter? Btw great info on unlocking to adjust and input of codes. Thanks again 👍
If you read the voltage with reversed polarity you'll likely see a slightly different value. I'm not exactly sure why but it happens with all my meters typically about a 2mv difference
Hi. When using latest firmware, can it alarm when voltage goes higher than set value? I know it will alarm if voltage goes below set value when discharging, but I need when charging up. Please confirm.
Thanks, you are a little slow getting to the point, but i wouldn't have thougth of this if i hadn't seen your video. Of course, is your voltmeter calibrated? at least they will all be set to a common meter. Found that one of my banks was off .21 V low and the whole battery was trying to balance it up, and i had been trying to balance it over whole night. When measured with my VOM it tested higher than any other cell bank in the 8s battery. Thumbs up.
Hi, I have a question, I just bought the isdt q8 model, after the charge is complete and the screen turns blue, the amp of the device (top left) will not be zero! Is this normal ???? Because the battery is no longer added to the amp, but the device is still circulating between 0.5 and 0.3 amps !! Please help me, thank you
that's probably the balancing current. The majority of the charging is done, the charger is now using its balance current (I'm guessing its 500mA or 0.5A for the Q8) so it can counter any charging current up to 0.5A as it tries to bring up a low cell.
It doesn’t memorize the battery type voltage setting.... like when switching between Lipo or Life... also doest measure battery resistance. Yes it’s nice, but lacks functionality for its price. Features are nice, charging your phone, but then there is no mah counter.
I'm going to try doing a fine tune celebrate to my Spectrum SMART volt meter, hopefully the password key is all the same. Most of us don't use 8S so just 1 through 6 with fluke and call it a day. I see myself just putting two 4 cell packs in series before by 8 Cells.
