Once again Michael, you have made my experience easier. Bought a Cricut 3 about a month ago, haven't used print then cut yet. So thank you. 😄Linda (Didn't know Siser was coming out with a new machine DANG IT lol)
Thank you Michael, My new Sawgrass sg500 will be here Sunday, I’m excited to Calibrate that Machine… if it wasn’t for your Wonderful Video… I wouldn’t have known to do it… Thank you so Very Much… Staying Wycked Crafty!!! 🤗🤣💯💥
I have had the circuit maker for about 9 months. I used it twice when it told me to calibrate, I started the process, and it told me to install the fine point cutting blade. it was already installed, but the machine still wouldn't read it for some reason. Multiple attempts, and she went in the closet after failing miserably. tomorrow, I will bring her back out and watch your video again in hopes for some success. thank you for your tutorial.
Hello Michael. I can't get my Cricut air 2 to calibrate. any tips. did it with you three times and still no luck. Please help. Hope all is well your way. love you to the moon and back.
My print then cut calibration has been: print the calibration sheet. Put it in the blue mat. Stick it in the cricut. Push the buttons. Watch the blade slide one way and then the other. Watch it stop and do nothing. Wait for something to happen. See if there was some button I was supposed to push that I didn’t push. Wait for something to happen. Turn everything off and turn it on again. Repeat process. Turn off Cricut. Get out scissors. Cut out stickers. I hate that I spent $400 on this thing.
I watched this video 3 times and lined my mat up perfectly to the corners and it still did not cut exactly on the lines. Not sure what I'm doing wrong but it's not working for me.
Iam just not getting my maker 3 to calibrate at all keeps saying there is a project still going and there isn't and also get told to switch everything from the main plugs but that doesn't work either what's happening I've only had it for 4 weeks
Thanks for the video, helped a lot. But I get stuck every time... My Maker 3 cuts the lines about an inch to the left. I have watched a bunch of videos and tried a bunch of techniques, but it cuts the same every time. Do you perhaps know why? Thanks 🙂
Can you do this from your phone? My laptop is currently down but I’m trying to do a print then cut and it’s not cutting it due to sensors not picking up the lines. This happens A LOT and it’s frustrating
Hi Michael I’m having a problem with my print and cut calibration as I perform the test my cuts are way off from the box and it won’t go to the big square to perform that. It keep asking me to print out another print paper can you give me any suggestions
Love having the bell turned out for all the notifications. What a fun surprise and a helpful video. I have started taking a picture with my phone to help me see the cut lines better.
So if I change printers, I need to recalibrate for my cutter? Do you just run through the calibration every year or is that not necessary? Thanks for making this so easy to follow.
Thank you soooo much for this video. My excitment with the print and cut feature was crushed when it didn't cut well. Then your video came up in my Search. Thank you for saving my day.
please please please help my explore air 2 like wont even go near the registration lines during calibration!! bout to start crying and give up... please help!!
Thank you Michael for another very helpful tutorial. I will have your video on while I calibrate my machine. I can start and stop when needed. Thanks again for everything. Take Care! ♥♥🥰
Hi! I am using the latest version of Design Space No.8.7.66. This version does not seem to have the 3 lines that the version you were using. All it has is the word HOME. I am also using a Maker 3 Machine. I suggest that maybe you may want to explore this version to see if you can find where the word Calibration is hiding. This version has moved many things around. I hope you can find the Calibration word so other members can find it also. I have not been able to do so. Good Luck Crafty.
I recently had the same problem - here is what I found that worked for me... In Design Space in the upper right corner click on your name, then click on Settings. You will see different tabs - click on Machines, then you will see Machine Calibration. Select Cricut device and follow the instructions. It was pretty easy once I got there. Good Luck and I hope this helps you and anyone else struggling.
I'm not sure what I am doing wrong but I followed this tutorial as well as your waterproof sticker tutorial and I'm trying to print and cut 3 different images on the same sheet of printable vinyl and the first two images are the only two that cut accurately, the next 2 are a little off and the last 2 aren't even close. I've tried 3 different times making sure my vinyl was aligned properly on the mat as well as making sure it is loaded into the machine as straight as possible. Cricut Explore 3 here. Any suggestions?
Not sure anyone said you did however, there are many folks who seem to complain on Facebook and/or Cricut forums about issues after an update to Design Space. The standard answer is to calibrate and that generally fixes their problems. I also do it whenever I change printers.
Thank you for this detailed tutorial! I watched the official Cricut video first, but the demonstrator did not explain the lining up of the small lines top and side and I was lost! You did it perfectly and now I am ready to calibrate my machine for my first Print Then Cut project!
My maker 3 won't calibrate... when it flashes to feed for measurements it just keeps flashing to feed and flashing to take it out and it just keeps doing that over and over... help
Hello Michael Just wanted to know I have my cricut explore air 2 . But when I'm trying to calibrate it, it doesn't do anything. It says error. Any help
Thanks for this. My printer is an epson, and no matter what I try, I cannot get the dialogue box to give many options. My problem is, it’s normally on mirror. We don’t have the option while doing print/cut to change it and I always print in mirror. I have tricked it once but can’t remember how 🤣 to do it again. Any suggestions?
I got a new machine same as yours and it only cuts one side. But thank you for your explanation and great advice I will definitely perform this test right now ❤
OK understood but what if your cricut does not pick up your printer (at time 1:53 - no printer option) I just installed a new printer .. How do I print a calibrate sheet
Hello Michael. I am having an awful time with multi colored svg files. I can't keep them from changing their position when I select make it. Please could you do a tutorial that addresses this issue?
Hi I been trying to do this and it don't want to work for me dont know what to do so i would like to remove it but it not letting me I do have a cricut 2 but thank you for the tutorial.
Thank you for your video ,my cuts on prints were off, wasting sticker ,etc...as soon as I saw your video on calibration did my on my maker, you always have the best video .For every day crafting
I calibrated my Air 2 for the first time last evening as I am new and am still learning. I still didn’t have the courage to do a print then cut. I will soon. 😊 Oh yes, my copy paper got pretty stuck to my mat. I had to scrape it off. I need a hack for perfectly lining up my transfers to the mat. I finally got by using some wax paper to keep the paper from sticking to the mat like a magnet. I used wax paper because I didn’t have any parchment paper. This helped me line the paper up without it prematurely sticking to the mat. Got it that time perfectly and was able to correctly calibrate my machine. Thank you 🎉
I agree with Kristen. I was pleasantly surprised to have the notification. I have calibrated my machine but never thought to remove the square to confirm the cut. Thank you
Thank you so much Michael. I’ve just got my Maker 3 and have been making cards for peoples birthdays and have been finding the cuts were off. I didn’t realise there was a calibrate function and am now almost too excited to go to bed before I try it. Thank you again. I love your videos to the moon and back 😀
Yes, however you may struggle to get the correct colours printing directly from cricut design space. If you download a virtual printer that saves your image from cricut DS as a PDF or PNG then you can access the image from another programme such as Photoshop to get the correct icc profile that your printer requires to get the colours right. But yes, theoretically you can print then cut directly from design space to your sublimation printer but if the colours don't look right then try the above ☺️
