THIS HELPED SO MUCH. I also noticed in my case around 40 frames it was better for me to divide by 60 like someone else who commented. I got my shiny pheromosa an hour after watching the video so ty again :) !!

Thanks for the video! However, I found that dividing by 30 is only effective for very small frame shifts. At +-30 frames, you're better off dividing by 60. I have spent an hour getting a +30, then -30, then again +30 etc while RNG'ing, until I divided by 60. Since I started always with lots of frames off, I started to try to hit a 1000 frame with a pretimer set to 0, did 3 RNG runs, and then setting the medium of the frame shifts I was getting and divided by 60 to get my pretimer. This way, my pretimer was pretty much spot on. Don't know if that is only me, but maybe it helps for those who like me were struggling with huge frame shifts.

Can you elaborate? I seem to have similar problems as well, although it's mainly to calibrate the pre-timer. Does set it to 0 usually works?

LunaSymphony What do you mean by that? Vicellatosama I'm also pretty sure you have to divide by 60. I had a very similar experience to the one you had, so I checked on 3DSRNGTool and saw that, in the Pokémon table, a span of one second corresponds to a Shift/F of 60.

Thanks for the videos, really helped me in picking up rng shiny hunting. A shiny zapdos that I caught was on a seed with 40 consecutive shiny frames lol

Eon Timer has since updated and there are more fields and options now, on a 3DS what settings should I be using? Should I leave the new "Calibration" field empty?

So what happens if you miss and then when you go to see how many frames late you were you cannot find a match to the Pokémon you ended up getting? How do you figure out how late you were then? I assume that means the Seed or something is incorrect?

I notice when I go for the longer ones, 8+ minutes, instead of the 1-3 min ones I am WAY off the frame. Am I doing something wrong?

So after you hit your frame with your pre timer , does the pre timer stay the same permanently for that Pokémon? I hit a shiny frame at a pre timer of 2403 but when I tried again over several times it’s always off now … does the pre timer change and you have to recalibrate ??? Or does it stay the same and I can consistently hit that frame with the pre timer I have entered

I have a problem.. You see whenever I type in the stats of the caught Pokémon (as in this case Necrozma) nothing pops up. Am I doing the initial seed wrong?

How do I find out how many NPCs a stationary pokemon has in the area? There are no visible NPCs around, say, Necrozma, or any of the Tapu. Where is this info?

Hey there and sorry if this sounds a bit too noobish or was already asked but, is there any reliable way to confirm the seed you get after inputting the eight clock? Like if I input a ninth or tenth clock hand would that confirm my seed? And keep up the good work!

What does "consider delay" do in the RNG tool? I see you have it set to 0 here, but on other videos (such as the Shiny Surfing Pikachu video) you have it set to 20. How does this factor into calibrating the timer? Should I zero it out or keep it at 20?

Coyote Wayfarer I do not alter consider delay at all. The program does it automatically. Just leave it checked.

So I'm definitely here stuck trying to figure this out. You don't really explain how to figure out where we landed in regards to our frame target. Such as, I was searching for a 4IV Groudon to test where I was in regards to my frames but ended with a 3IV one. I have no idea how to find where this Pokemon may be in the list that the RNG tool gave and therefore am unable to figure out how many frames off I was to fix this issue. Is there any better suggestion to finding where you landed in regards to this?

TheeWarden watch my other tutorial, although I definitely cover it here. This is only “how to calibrate the pretimer” not how to rng a Pokémon. You go into the middle section, and do a search by stats. Type in yoirbpokemons actual stats, not it’s ivs, and you’ll find what frame you hit

What if the number is bigger than 30 and you have to divide it by 30? That seems like kind of a stretch to subtract 3 whole seconds from a 3.5 timer :|

if you can't find your seed, you can retake your trainer passport picture and try again. i have scowered the internet for this and it works! what you can also do is, if you calibrated your timer and keep on missing your frame, try holding the fingernail of your index finger against the x button (while pressing up on the joystick to move into the pokemon),or the A button if you do static encounters and quickly jab the x button at the right time. it is far more effective than pusing the button with the tip of your finger!

I know this video is pretty old these days but taking a shot in the dark. I've been trying to rng legendaries for a while and can't ever get the program to find the pokemon that I actually caught using stats. So frustrating as I don't know what the problem is.

Hey man! I'm trying to calibrate my timer but i'm having problems. I just tried catching a blacephalon but after i wrote the stats in the program the only ones i can see are 28 minutes away ( i catched it after 40 seconds). What am i doing wrong? :S imgur.com/a/GcRcG

I’m playing on my 2ds and using UM and my frame is always over 1000 frames off… I do everything perfectly. Currently trying to rng a poipole it’s been hours with frustration, help please
