Just wanted so say thanks for all the amazing tutorials you put out. I feel like everyone always references your videos when trying to learn RNG for a specific game. You’ve helped more than you know!
In case this helps anyone, you MUST have a save file to do the needle method calibration. You can just save in your room immediately and delete the save after finding your timer 0. I got hung up on this for a while. Good luck!
for resetting for a shiny starter in bw2, after calibrating the game, would you delete the save file and then make a new one in order to get the trainer ID and secret ID? and it will keep the calibration? I'm having a hard time understand whether or not that's the approach for a shiny starter, and I'm using a DSi
Thanks so much for this blisy. I was having trouble getting consistent calibration on White and White 2; it's now a breeze with your more accurate calibration method with multiple levels.
Also for the IV method, the top of celestial tower works for sweet scenting, however the pokemon are fairly low level, but i never had a problem with the consistency of the timer0.
hey idk if you still answer on this but I struggle with doing this on my 3DS-XL. It works fine with my DS-Lite but since its buttons are somewhat broken I want to RNG manip on my 3DS and although I adjust all the Pokéfinder settings correctly I can't seem to find correct values. Also Eontimer gives me around 20seconds to boot up the game after I do "Second Hit" adjustments which is impossible on a 3DS since the loading time after exiting the system settings is so long
I guess I am doing something wrong. I have been able to RNG everything until I restarted the game, and currently I have no save file (I want to RNG TID/SID). I tried the unova link method but im getting 0 results, and I cannot figure out why. Any help?
Holy shit i thought you stopped making videos years ago since the ones i have seen are all from a few years ago. Edit: also please do more gen5 videos they are just the best shit ever
Hey Blisy! I've managed to calibrate easly, but on PokeFinder the "Wild" option for Gen V isnt selectable. Is there something that I could do or do I have to use RNGreporter?
Hey blisy, I'm having trouble finding a super consistent Timer0 in my Black 2. I've done almost 25 attempts over the last two weeks, and have six different Timer0 values (one of them doesn't count cause PokeFinder kept finding one at 29 seconds). My two most common ones are 1104 and 1106. Does that mean in RNG Reporter I would put my profile's Timer0 range at 1104-1106? It seems that no matter how precise I seem to be, it's just entirely random what Timer0 you hit. I would go back to Black 1 to do Egg RNG, but that also eludes me over how accurate one can be without, say, turbo controls to get to your Chatots and back to the Day-Care man consistently. Any help would be appreciated. I would love to try my hand at Black 2 Wild RNG early on in the game, even if it's as slow as using the saving method.
Hi Blisy! Thanks so much for the videos, I've mastered rng-ing in gen 4 through them. I am having trouble with this one since I'm trying to do the needle method on the 3ds. What are the specific timing adjustments needed? It would be very appreciated!
I use a rom for to play black 2 on my dsi and i have to use twilightmenu ++ to open black 2. Do I have to use exactly 30 seconds on the eon timer? Because 30 seconds isn't enough to open up my second ds menu to load black 2 on time.
So, when exactly does the game start on the seconds mark? I notice that you start the game before 30 so is it not on button press but a bit early and why your calibration is -95? I'm trying to get more consistent with my button presses so this information would be helpful.
Hey Blisy! You are the best, did you ever figure this out for 3ds! I keep getting a 1270 Time Zero from the needle method but then when I try to match it up in another video like getting an instant shiny starter in black1, I just struggle! Any help would be amazing!
In regards to Unova Link/memory link, if I have never used it, I should leave it unticked, right? I mean when it comes to checking the RNGs later and stuff for actual encounters
everytime i go to my ingame settings in white it tells me to "please configure your connection settings under internet settings" even though ive already set up an internet connection?
I have no idea how to make use of any of this. After following through with the instructions here, going to one of your other videos is already like the shiny starter one immediately confuses me because it feels like you skipped over 5 other steps off screen. I know these videos are years apart but trying to piece them together while scouring your other outdated calibration guide for the 3ds is extremely frustrating. I am still thankful that you made these but I give up.
hey blisy, I have run into a problem with the gen 3 game emerald. My shiny frame shows encounter slot 11 lvl 22 cacnea but when i hit that frame I get the one before it encounter slot 4 a baltoy but he is shiny, has all the ivs of the encounter slot after it, and its nature sassy. It is like my whole list shifted one backwards.
After this how do I RNG for a Shiny Starter? There's an older video 7 years ago back in 2018 but it uses RNG reporter with TID/SID Manipulation but when I go on there it says to create a profile but I don't know what to key in what it asks. Can you do a follow up video to this one that shows how to RNG a shiny starter?
This is to make a profile for any given combination of cartridge and console. If you put your cartridge in a different console, then your profile wouldn't be accurate. However, if you simply put your cartridge back into the console that you originally made your profile for, then it will be fine. It doesn't go away or anything
My mac address starts with 00 and I can’t input it into the MAC address section, does that mess with the the method? Cause I haven’t gotten any search results.
"What do I do if the default C60-CA0 range turns up nothing? How far should I adjust it? Presumably not 0-FFF, which is what I'm trying? What if I get three completely different results with wildly varying seconds? Following the latter situation, I decided that the two 22-second results from the first search and the 21-second result were accurate and went to do my third. However, the third search gave me 47s, 27s, and 34s respectively, and 27 seems WAY too far off the mark for it to be accurate. Does anyone have any ideas?" ...is what I WOULD say if I didn't finally realize after 6 entire hours that PokeFinder didn't save the last two digits of my MAC address when I pasted it in, because after that it worked like a charm! Weird what happens when you're thinking clearer first thing in the morning.
Hey Blissey is there a updated guide for shiny stationary mons in BW2 ? I have my seed, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! but seems like your other guides are older. This one is a lot newer and I was able to get my timer 0 pretty easily with a 12 times difference!
coming here from the trainer id abuse video. in that video you are using rng reporter and in this video you are using pokefinder so im a little confused on the calibration. Am i supposed to save in the room and then reset the save data to start going for the id that i want?
I'm trying on white 2 with 0 results showing up myself though I'm playing through an r4 not sure if that messes things up as well. Would love to know though
It is new and it will have those features soon. It currently supports things natively that rng reporter did not, like these new calibration methods and BW2 eggs.
I'm not sure what is going on with the Unova Link method. Everytime I am getting results that are 9+ seconds off from 30. I have beaten the game on my save file unlike your example and as a result I see more on the bottom screen of Unova Link, I imagine because I am also sending out the challenge mode key when I choose the option. Does that effect my results? I also have done memory link, but I have selected memory link in pokefinder.
anyone having trouble finding the "gen 5 tools": This button does not exist anymore, but there is a find DS parameters button if you try and create a new profile took me a while to find this out lmao :(
@@srcarova7117 I don’t have an original ds, I only have a ds lite and 3DS but when I’ve done RNG I feel that the ds lite is so much more consistent than using a 3DS. Using a ds lite I literally almost always hit the time I’m going for. It’s just that in BW/BW2 you’ll sometimes hit the wrong timer 0 and there’s nothing wrong that you did it’s just the way the RNG works in those games
Totally irrelevant to your video and I apologize but I was recommended your channel and find it all so entertaining, thank you. Do you know if there’s a way to rng Pokémon Sword/Shield Crown Tundra for the Regis? I’ve been stuck on one for three months. 🙄 Longest hunt and I only started hunting in this game.
Can you do a "how to RNG abuse stationary Pokémon hgss on the 3DS"? I'm just curious if there's a difference like there was for the cute charm (three seconds subtracted from our main goal seconds on the eon timer). I have Lugia in front of me and I really want to rng for a shiny and I don't waste time sr cus I'm a mom lol You the best blisy
This is likely very late, but you can soft reset instead of starting the game on 3ds when you're doing the first timer. Everything else after that should be the same, make sure that eon timer is set to 3ds mode as well
