i know its an old video, but...the ritual thing is about remaining focused. in between points we can drive ourselves crazy . finding ways to avoid distraction is key.

Bro, you’ve just been a lifesaver. I’ve been playing tennis for over six years, and I’ve always wondered why I lose a set after the third point. Sometimes I’m at 3-love, only to lose the set after losing balance and nerve. Today, I tried your advice during the match and it worked incredibly well. Thank you!

HI, tennis beginner here. So glad I found you! I will play my second season of matches soon and my first season was so nerve wracking. 😳 I almost quit tennis. Will practice the 4 rooms and watch more of your inspirational videos.

started using this tonight for a video game tournament that is mentally very similar to tennis. worked wonders and played the most cerebrally i have in quite a while. my head was in the game at all times. thank you so much!

Great video! I understand the concept but can you please elaborate on how you flush the last point down the toilet? Especially when you're frustrated, how do you reset? I try to tell myself to reset but I often continue to get frustrated

Resetting is about letting go of the past and being present for the next point. We really want to avoid judgments of good or bad. If you have a negative thought perhaps after a poorly played point, envision yourself writing down the thought, crumble it up and toss it in the trash / toilet. Same concept, simply letting go of the error / negativity. Thanks for the feedback Kevin. Keep battling out there!

stretch!!! dynamic stretches to warm the muscle up before any demanding activity and static stretches after activities to help it heal and build strength

There is a great book called The Inner Game of Tennis that you may want to check out. You may or may not get to 5.0, but understanding your motivations and using the methods in this book will help to free you up. I often go back and read passages from the book. If nothing else, you may find more enjoyment when playing. One more comment on control. You don't have any, but then again, neither does anybody else...even Roger. :)
