Justify canceling an order if skip the dishes was here in the states and i used that app i know what my response would be for canceling an order every time and that's because the customer is giving me the run around. Which is exactly what customers love doing on any and every food delivery service app.

My answer to them is "I don't need to explain" I can put whatever I want for DD or UE so why does Skip have the right to question me ? I'm not so nice with them since they force me to contact them lol

If I accept a better order from another app, I just let skip time out, and they'll unassign me after they see I'm not going to the pickup. Too much work going through support

That's true. You can go that way. It's pathetic how they set up to cancel orders.

Yeah the skip app in general is really terrible, not to mention unsafe while driving.

I agree and I hate their default map choice. I use a dark screen map like Waze and their default is beyond bright at night , nearly blinding

Wow, that's key messed up that you have to go thru support to cancel one. I just found it today that DoorTrash had changed how to unassign an order, obviously making it harder to do so. They sure don't like it when we do that, do they? Lol

Nope they don't like it at all but why make it so hard ? It's our right as contractors to pretty much cancel or accept as we please.

@@DashWithAshinCanada I totally agree. I'd bet their thinking is if they make it as hard as possible to do it, maybe less orders would get unassigned. Therefore they could possibly make more money. We both know the ONLY thing they care about is themselves making money, screw the driver. I also believe there should be total transparency with the order; we should know what we're getting, whom it's going to, total payout (including total tip), all of it.

It's so annoying. And when you contact support, it takes forever. So sometimes I end up contacting support to cancel because of the wait time, go do another order and it's still in my cue so I end up completing it.

Couldn't agree more Shiana! It's probably why I don't do a lot of orders with them is just because if I get stuck with one due to long wait times, it's LONGER to get rid of it.

Skip support is horrible. Always glitching and it's terrible that you are forced to chat instead of speaking with a person on the phone. I deliver alcohol and when I have an issue, I have to text support. Problem is the app will glitch and freeze and you are wasting even more time than normal because you have to return the alcohol to the store if there is an issue with the delivery. What should be the time of the pickup, trip and delivery is doubled because you can't speak directly to an agent and are waiting for the app to unfreeze. You do get to keep the full amount of the original delivery price but if it's base pay, it's not worth it

I couldn't agree more and I didn't know if I was the only one experiencing that glitch with Skip. Every time I contact them it freezes. Every time! It's beyond frustrating. I couldn't imagine with alcohol in the order. Damn.
