Very helpful video and so good to see someone who doesn't start with a perfectly exposed image for a change.. Makes it much easier to relate to.and I love this clever use of a natural light source.

Thanks Pye. I actually faced such problems with posing as they seem off. This was indeed helpful.

Wow. This is just a great walkthrough Thanks! This gives me a solid ground to think of how to pose my subjects and how to direct them without making them tense or stress out! Even being a photographer is kind of like being a director of a movie. You really do need to have the vision of that shot and then learn how to execute what your vision is. Especially when working with people that the majority of them are not like professional models who are used to having a camera up to their faces. I love the "Master Your Craft" series! I have learned a lot from it and re-watch them from time to time to try to apply them. Keep the videos coming! Thanks again

Thank you for this great video, a lot of good ideas like using a door for a light source and a very good post edit to make that shot even better.

THANK YOU for these tips! I am absolutely going to use these in my next shoots! I love how honest you are about your raw shots. I find myself saying some of the same things like I got the shot, but the lighting is just a little off or something and I'm like nah I'll fix it in post. This series you do is my first stop when I'm trying to learn how to "master my craft" so keep it up. I revisit these videos a lot.

I'm grateful for all of your very useful tips - I'm just soaking it all up. I don't shoot weddings very often, however I have one coming up at the end of July and I'm loving the inspiration you're giving me! My venue is going to be challenging (small local cruise boat), so I don't know what I'll be facing but I want to be prepared for anything! Thanks!!

As a B&W lover, I actually liked the color version more. Color seemed to emote a more romantic feel for me. Either way I enjoyed the process. About how long did it take you from shooting the first frame to the final frame? I'm just curious as to how long the thought process was. Thanks.

Great video on showing working towards the actual pic. Random question, about how long did it take you to work towards the more natural pose? Trying to force myself to take my time, but interested in what that actually looks like in execution.

So do you let the clients review the shots before you may re-compose for the shots if you did not get what you want with that round of shootting? Great video!!

Is there a way to know when to make a photo black and white. Or is it always a feeling?

I enjoyed this, but I'm afraid the unnecessary background music was very distracting.
