Carrie Rad I have the traditional pothos, dracaena, prayer plant and a variety of succulents and cacti, etc...but I think my real showstoppers are my madagascar palm (which just hit its 10th birthday!!) and my triostar calathea (obsessed with its pink stripes!!)

I have always wanted to have a house full of pants but even just having one or two abs always been a struggle to keep alive and healthy. I think I will try again with what I learned in this video. Also...it helps to know what plants to pick for a city apartment that doesn’t get much light!

Love this! Great tips. I think you're right about over-watering, it's the most common mistake, filled with the best of intentions. I have ~30 indoor plants, and I'm nowhere close to stopping (tattoos and plants are the same concept for me-I want more and more!). I just wish I had more natural light, I live in a townhouse in growing zone 8b, so light is limited :( I love my Bird of Paradise (named her Paco) and my pothos are HUGE and living their best life, I'm of course propagating at least 10 roots at a time. I found though that despite their ability to survive in low light that they actually do really love bright, indirect light (prime real estate in my house). I just took the plunge and got an Alocasia Polly a week ago, fingers crossed that she loves me and her new home! I've heard mixed reviews on them so I was nervous but she's so pretty! I also love my baby Monstera. You should look into Noot organic liquid plant food- I've been loving it! doesn't smell (worm castings, I'm looking at you) and I've see a lot of new growth because of it. Sorry this comment is so long but I'm curious about your thoughts on where to buy plants- nursery or grocery/hardware(Lowe's, HD) store? I feel as though some of my store-bought plants are heartier and survive better than their nursery counterparts. Where do you prefer to purchase plants? I'm waiting on some checks to come though and then I'm all about supporting local plant shops during this time. I can't wait for more plant content, your plants (and yourself!) are so beautiful, thank you for sharing x.

I have a few snake plants,monsteras, fiddle leaf, pothos, pepperomias (my watermelon is in its way out I think - so sad). I also have a few succulents. I’d love a video in propagation. I love my sting of turtles, string of beans and ficus marble!! 😀😀 I leave egg shells on top of the soil for sôme of my bigger plants for slow releasing calcium boosts. Also bought a moisture meter for extra understanding of watering requirements but I also use my finger too :) love your plants!!

Hey, I enjoyed your video, I just wanted to point out one thing. The study that is often quoted about plant air purifying properties says you'd need plants in nearly every square foot of that room in order for the purifying to even be measurable. It's a cool marketing point but it doesn't really do anything for us in that regard.

Still in a lockdown situation but not a full lockdown but its likely inevitable.i tried bonsai plants once and they all died but with the lockdown i decided to try with just house plants this time.just to Improve the surroundings within the home and to improve mental health.thank you for the video and advice and I hope your keeping well.my favourite are yukkas I think or the pachira aquarius but I've recently over watered it unfortunately which lead me to your content,god bless 😀

Because of being home so much I have been misting some of my plants a lot more and it worked wonders! My pancake plant (thats how it's called in dutch, not sure whether it's translated right haha) is growing soo many new leaves and a little new baby. I’ve had indoor plant before and wasn’t successful with keeping it alive. I would over water it then not water it enough.. Lately I’ve been learning more about indoor plants in hope to get some soon. This video was very informative. How do you keep the bug out of your home and plants? That was a big issue I had with my previous plant.
