It's a bit difficult to see the form of a large lace leaf with just naked branches....I finally had the courage to prune my large lace leafs so I could see the beautiful twisting branches but did it in the summer. Thanks for this seminar, maybe I can come this fall to see what you have in 10 gal.

Somebody just told me when planting a JM 🍁 that the green-side of the JM should have been up...was she correct cause that may explain why my JM's have not leafed-out yet since last Spring and now it's October? 😮

I use organic fertilizer like Espoma do I hold off use in the winter?

I wouldn’t use any fertilizer in winter at all. Only when active in spring

I remember once you mentioned mycorrhizae, the symbiotic relationship and the benefits gained from introduction. I would love to hear more on this topic and if this makes a difference in container culture. Also the general container mix is 85% bark, 10% peat, and 5% perlite. This can be customized for different climates around the country. There have been discussions on peat being antifungal, and antimicrobial. Has there been research to substantiate this claim? Will that effect growth? If there is, does that change if there is a different ratio used?
