This is easily my favorite plant since I started my plant journey. I own two as well as a beautiful vase of water propagations and a Terracotta pot with fallen leaves that also propogated in soil wonderfully. I've had much better luck with these than many string succulents.

I love my Ruby Cascade. Bought from my local plant dealer, and I was told to water and forget about it. She is thriving!!! She trails from a hanging planter from my 7’ ceiling and sweeps the group.

I bought a string of hearts cutting from a lady in fb marketplace and when I got to her house, she said she had gone a bit crazy pruning while preparing my propogation and handed me a handful of random cuttings including 4 ruby cascade that were a couple inches long and that was in the fall....all 4 are over a foot long now.

I am repotting another plant I have and will have a small pot "open" for a new plant friend so as I was laying down to go to sleep I hit Etsy and ordered one of these last night. That's totally normal to do right? Lol well now I'm really excited for her to arrive!

Your Ruby Cascade is stunning! Growing like a weed! I bought one at Lowe's a few months back. It was on the markdown rack because it looked pretty sad. I repotted it into a fast-draining soil like you mention and it seems to be happy. I only water when it's very dry and if I lift the pot, it seems very light. That's probably once every 2 weeks here in Colorado. So far so good. But nothing like yours. After seeing this, I'm considering moving it to a West-facing window provided I can find space for it there.

Perfect Timing. Killed my first one 2 years ago. I happened to come across one 2 weeks ago at Lowe’s and snagged it up. It was, of course soaking wet. I haven’t watered it yet. Still waiting for it to dry out. Hoping mine stays happy and starts to trails.

I'm curious about the survival too. I have a nearly-dead one that I got a while back from Lowes that never recovered from overwatering. I'm currently trying to root a few cuttings but having minimal success, even under my lights. 😭

I got mine a year ago and it was just a tiny thing, about the size of a saucer. It now is huge and trails about 4 feet and I've trimmed it many times. Mine is in an South-East window, let it dry out and water thoroughly. It is my favorite of my 2 dozen plants. The green and ruby is so attractive.

I have one of these plants, it started in a 2 inch pot, and then I put it into a 5 inch pot, and it is so big and full, and it has trails that are crazy long and I have had it for about 8 or 9 months, and I also got mine at Lowe's. I have mine sitting in an east facing window. It is a super easy plant and I really love it. I think I am ready to take some cuttings and try propagating it because the trails are almost 4 feet long. Thanks so much Nick, I hope you are staying healthy and are not experiencing to much crazy. Sending hugs, bye for now.

I bought one of these at my local plant shop not knowing what it was. It was in a very tiny nursery pot. So I put it in a small cup/pot, still in its nursery pot, and put it on my shower caddy and left it alone . My bathroom gets medium(ish) light. The little baby is taking off without much from me other than cooing at it while I shower. I’ve only watered it twice since I bought it about a month ago.Very low maintenance! I suspect that it really liked the humidity in the shower. New little leaves pop up almost daily! Super easy , super cute!

I have one that I got in early fall last year. It sits in a west facing window and is growing and happy as a clam. I did manage to propagate a stem that broke off. I did it in soil in a terrarium setting and it rooted up w/ no problems. My leaves are still rather small so I hope they will eventually get as big as yours.

I had been looking for this for a while and couldn't find it in any of my local plant shops. Then recently, I found it hanging at my local Home Depot! I snatched it up real quick. It came in a 6" hanging basket and was a bit weak from being in the store (not the greenhouse area, since it's still winter here in MN). But I put the fallen strings in some water and they rooted so quickly! I was wondering if going straight to soil would have worked and now I know for the future. I put mine in my east facing window right in the sill and it seems to like it very much. It didn't take long to perk up and I see lots of new growth emerging. Thanks for this video! As you said, not much out there on this one!

this one is definitely one of my favorite peperomias! (actually its my second favorite after my hope pep) mine is doing really well about a foot away from a standard growlight (by that i mean the only one they had at walmart) of course it didnt grow nearly as much as it wouldve next to a window, but thats ok because im very quickly running out of plant room. its one of (if not, then *the*) easiest peperomia i grow

Watching this video because all of a sudden the top of my ruby cascade is getting yellow on top and leaves are thinning! I got mine in October and for so long it grew so fast and thrived, but within the past month yellowing happened so fast. I’m hoping it is because it’s too much light from the south facing window that you mentioned in the beginning

Mine is growing like a weed under a grow light, but the top leaves are getting a yellowish cast to them like what you were talking about. I'm so glad you mentioned it because I didn't know what the heck was causing it or if it was normal. I wonder if the grow light is too harsh for it.

I love my ruby cascade! It hangs in a west facing window with a paper window blind as a filter. I also do the taco test and only water when it tells me to. Mine came from Lowe's and they had nearly murdered it with over watering. I lost 90% of the plant to rot because of this but it has recovered and is growing like crazy. I trim the longest vines to propagate and am working to make it fuller.

Was it said the how well draining of soil to do ?I can't find it. I'm guessing a well draining soil. I just got some small rooted cuttings and I put them in a medium coarse mix and a terracotta pot, plus I live in AZ so its dry, and I think it should work to be able to dry out well between watering. I feel like everything in Arizona is always trickier, like, when you say dry do you mean AZ dry, or everywhere else dry? haha
