While I may not agree on some of the steps you take (no pun intended), I appreciate you taking your time and making this video. It's easy to write a comment and say everything that you do is different so it must be wrong (mostly by people who don't even make videos or try to help others) What's not easy is to keep making videos and trying to help people despite all the negative comments by ignorant inconsiderate people. Everybody makes mistakes, at least you are willing to show that in order to help people that want to learn. Thank you for contributing.
I've been installing carpet for years and that was some Mickey mouse s*** I had ever seen first of all you didn't use the stare too to grind under the nosing before you staple then when you kick the carpet in towards the riser you didn't use the steer to to Mark the line in between the riser and the step I don't know who taught you carpet the capping was okay but overall you kicking the steps with no tack strips just Staple ...
Looks like a total hack job if you ask me. There's a broken step that should of been replaced, the cpt isn't even tight at all on the step, and your rolled edges are crooked as hell! Better go back to that cpt class at home depot lol!!
You need a stapler with open stairs or if you are wrapping it under the nosing of the stair. Ic you are doing box stairs waterfalled you can do it without staples for the most part
I did the same job as this and the whole night i could not sleep Because the edge of the stairs should have underlay on them For protection, if someone slips down and hit the back of head
Dude you're really bad at this, you are the virus that plagues this industry that i love, pride for your work as a man clearly made it last on your priority list
Not gonna say shitty job like everybody else but will say that it looks odd on the end of the steps like it comes to a point from the triangle that was cut in it.. you stapled the second one you did at the end but not the first one.. lastly wouldnt those staples on the sides and front facing folds be able to be seen, if not now but maybe over time?? Or pull out in time? Whats a good size if staple to use on carpet though? I got 1” but just look way too long for carpet but dunno..
Worst ive ever seen in my 27yrs in the business. Ur not even kicking them tight lol wow. No tackless lolol this is what you call a hack job in the business
