Hi Keith not sure if you're still replying but i have a question. I'm doing some finish carpentry on my rough framed stairs. The bottom 3 steps are just like shown in this video except my stair tread is cut flush to the stringer so theres no over hang to wrap carpet. Should i glue and screw wood to the end of steps to wrap carpet over or can you pros make it look nice with out it? Thank you in advance.
Sure, you can add a piece on the end so you can wrap it over when we would run into a situation like yours we would leave extra fold the carpet underneath itself and then tack it in to the wall if you add the extra piece to wrap obviously it will look better. It depends on the situation.
