Hey Shok, I think the main reason for wanting to know what the enemy did wrong is more about what they needed to have done to play better. Since usually we are the players who you are facing up against. Like if we were the katarina, what were we supposed to do to win, if that makes sense. Great vid regardless!
@@ShokLeague I feel like you do a really, really good job already. I like the focus you currently have personally, and I think it is the better mentality :) And honestly, you pointed out many mistakes people made this game (top roams, bot disrespecting timers, jayce tp to defend tower, not going for baron) and I really like that you made an effort to emphasize that these things really make a huge difference.
Shok, you make a complicated game comprehensible. Your videos, having a significant level of content, stay focused on self-improvement with very little digression. Thank you, Shok.
Your thumbnails are cool but small suggestion would be to make which series its for a bit more obvious (i.e. high elo or unranked to master). I know its in the title but i often look at mainly thumbnails and the start of a title when selecting videos
Playing against myself is too true. I keep missing CS while trading or trying to freeze the wave. I am getting better at CSing while trading. I learned to think of it as adding trades to my CSing and not CSing while getting trades off. The mindset helps me prioritize properly.
It would be interesting to see a game that goes terribly wrong, such as your adc/support are fighting, someone is going afk or inting. I know those games are still mostly winnable for someone of your elo, but it would be nice to see how your thought process changes to accommodate for something like this happening in your game
ther is something can do batter but he still win this is good 5:52 ryze ult can get vision so u wont die here 12:00 double kill angle and get passive also with flash weq but u can see Shok is not really good at Ryze so he use the max dmg "flash wqeq " and cant get the passive speed to get away from Atrox
Happy one week (seven whole rotations) until AP seraphs kog'maw mid friends ! looking forward to vommiting everywhere the second i see the notification
Thanks a lot for this video, and impressive and insightful commentary as always. I mentioned I hoped to see games where things didn't go smoothly early on, and you delivered :P This felt like a very relatable game. I also want to say that I really like that you aren't playing cheesy or relying on superior mechanics even though you are against much lower ranked people, you are just playing good league of legends. Thank you. Can you eloborate a bit on what you think about Jayce going mid at around 13:30? Clearly he is grouping for dragon, and he doesn't have TP ready. Do I understand you correctly that the right play in solo queue is to just ignore the 2nd dragon and catch wave and keep up farm instead?
Have some rougher games coming up! And yes, ideally Jayce should push top wave all the way to the enemy T2 tower and then come down to drag. It's too early in the game to be sacrificing lots of waves top for a relatively unimportant dragon, so if he can't get the wave into the enemy T2 tower then he should just stay top (and take T2 if aatrox runs to dragon)
@@godsfighter1367 Something with a dash is quite good e.g. Ahri, LeBlanc, Fizz, Akali, Zed etc. Or something that has fairly good inbuilt safety e.g. Phase rush Orianna, I'll try make a one trick tier list eventually
yea at lvl 2-3 ill get instantly ganked from enemy jgle;r get forced to pop flash than im dead and kat or the other guy have a lead either by my death or flash graves comes, sure when ur jgler is human that happens, i get enemy jgler evne dive me when i do that also, so i have nightmares in soloo NA cue. but yes thats the idea
Absolutely love the point at the end about what tradeoffs and strengths a champ might have at different levels of play. I feel like so much of the time people treat it as super black and white and its really easy to not think about what advantages you might have in a game state at a given elo. Really cool perspective.
hey shok, what do you think of the seraphs rush build ? cause i feel like roa trakes too long to have impact so you dont have much early game agen,cy and it lacks AH...
if im ahead in the midgame should i be focused on provoking fights, should i farm everything i can and fight anyone contesting my farm, or should i just wait for enemys to make a mistake? Thanks
You first farm and shove waves into the towers. If the team decide to fight for an objective you have to decide if it's worth join the fight or not because if you have a bounty is risk to join a losing teamfight so it's always better to stay alive and do other things
Pretty much what the reply already said, try shove sidewaves as far as you can and then use the prio to accelerate yourself (camps, roaming to mid, hitting tower etc) and make sure you are at all the objective fights
Bronze-Gold is just a salad fiesta of smurfs, new players, one tricks, for fun, try hards, bad players, and people who genuinely don't care. Draw your four and hope you didn't get the Teemo/Senna/Lux player.
I don't think it is that important to go out of your way to point out what the enemy is doing wrong. IMO Commentating about what not to do is less efficient for learning than your current style of commentary. I think a viewer that aligns their habbits and learns from your tips will improve faster than if they were told their most obvious mistake. Trying to mimic a challenger helps to avoid mistakes passively as well as helping to improve using challenger knowledge. Serious thanks for being so dedicated to your informative videos. I am not playing the game atm due to not wanting to support vanguard's potential invasion of privacy, but watching your videos lets me enjoy the game just as much as if I were still playing. Cheers
A nice vid could be carrying while behind, like how to capitalize on mistakes and get back into control of the game. ALSO would love some ori games in low elo, she is so fun for me. Would love to see you pilot her in low elo.
Thanks man! This guide makes me start playing ryze and he's kinda fun, I'm also finding I'm dying with ryze a lot less than I would with other champs early on so I might be on to something with a potential main! I instantly subbed with bell on so I don't miss anything from ya since if it's content like this it should really help me improve (also... you're cute AF, that's also worth subbing for :p)
Hey Shok, great video as always! Do you think Ryze is best used to counter melee mids or is it still playable against something that out ranges you so long as you have a jungler that can gank or invade with you?
Still playable against longer range, even if you play a tough matchup like Ori if you have Lee + Naut or something it'll be hard for her to pressure you properly. Obviously its better vs short range or if you win the 1v1 but you can make it work
Bro your early phase is played badly. As ryze you should just perma poke katarina in early game consider playing with comet, scorch combo or even first strike. Then you rush archangel to increase your lead. As ryze main I can assure you that ryze has enough power to poke those assasins out escpecially when they are playing fucking dark seal first item and no second wind. Also what ranks are u playing against bcs they seems like silvers or smth.
This is gold, it's called unranked to master for a reason. Comet/First strike are good for early game but they make teamfighting so difficult, I don't think it's good on Ryze unless it's the difference between getting prio over your lane or not. Archangel rush is not bad for soloq I think, ROA hp is very useful vs assassins though.
@@ShokLeague If those are golds all is clear now. You have to present stable builds for these fellas, you can try more agressive playstyle as ryze tho. GL
