Carved bead moulding is as old as the hills probably and looks rather simple up close but it can easy to come unstuck when carving it for the first time. The beads I made here are rather deep relief carvings and probably go slightly beyond the usual hemisphere shape.
Generally you'd use bead mouldings on a frame, to decorate furniture or for decor around walls, perhaps a dado rail or something similar.
