@BoltImpact Hey mate, I've just been checking the rules on the NSW DPI site, not sure if they've changed since you made the video, but you can't bait the hooks if you have 6 on a jigging rod. Can only use the artificial lures that come on it. I think you can get bait jigs with 3 hooks if you want to bait them.
Hey mate thanks for the feedback but I know in vic it’s not allowed when I asked at the time in NSW it was a go so not too sure if that’s the same case a few years later or not.
@@BoltImpactAll good. I've never tried it before so I was just looking up the rules to give it a go. Not a criticism, just sharing the information. To be fair it doesn't seem to mention using bait so maybe it's okay - www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/fishing/recreational/fishing-rules-and-regs/perm-prohib-saltwater
Nice bro in nsw there so easy to catch lol bit more harder in vic does my head in 😫 i use a different method unweighted hook with a small bit of squid. Its very successful way to catch them i find as the sabiki rig can get tangled easier. Nice video though and keep up the good content
Musta Fishing hey bro sorry I didn’t actually see this haha. Yeah yours is a much better method but we’re not allowed to use these in vic so I wanted to make the most of it haha. So are you from vic or Sydney?
Im from vic bro haha i went to eden once though and i was blown away at the amount of baitfish mackreal/tailor ect there was at just an average pier. Makes me so jelly. Same thing when i went to robe went to the smallest random pier and smashed the bait 😫 why cant it be like that here in vic fml haha
Thanks mate. Ive had 10 in the same bucket for 24 hours and only lost one. So safe for about 20 hours i recon but just depends how many fish and how big the bucket is. Sometimes i run two devices in the one bucket.
Hi mate these rigs come pre made and are pretty cheap. Just google search pre-made bait hooks and you’ll find them. Best to cut small pieces of prawns or bread and put on them. Good luck
Actually sabiki has formula for the thread it used for, all about color, size and shape. Better formula will cut the time to collect baits cause it may hooked more than one fish on the line. Well, it is nice video, good luck 🙏
People with more experience fishing at the piers know you don't need sabiki rigs to catch plenty of yakka and you don't need to bait them either. All that is needed is a simple paternoster rig with a 10g sinker and a loop knot for one or two size 10 hooks. This rig also doubles up as a squid jig rig. Just simply remove the hooks and add your egi clips and jigs to the rig. Makes things so much more efficient. And we don't use those shitty rod holders in this video at the piers, especially when targeting kings. Want to fish smarter? Look for guys with custom rod holders different to the common ones people buy from Bunnings at the piers.
Yeah it happens but if they’re around you won’t get many yakkas. Just load up on bread under a light at night or early morning and they will come. Once you spot them don’t use a sinker just let the hook flow freely under half a meter of water then lift up and try again
Hey bro. Yeah you definitely can but you need to do it under a lot of light. They do get attracted to light at night so I usually take a few solid torches and I keep them constantly on.
