In this video our hosts shows you a special rod made just for sabiki and damashi. The fishing rod has no eyes. The fishing line is run through the inside of the rod to the tip. The sabiki or damashi rig can actually be reeled into the rod, so the hooks are out the way. You have to see it to understand how it works. Elijah caught a huge papio with it, so we know it can handle a fight. The only problem with this rod is that you can't use large hook sabiki's. The hooks won't fit through the tip. But the sabiki's we used caught a lot of fish.
