When the kids were young I always took the kids down to Chapman River when on KI. Nice picnic spot, safe banks and (most importantly) guaranteed a fish on the line quick. We just used light gear, a pencil float, split shot sinker and BREAD!.....the Bream loved the bread. Great fun! Great work Sister.

Great video! The lighter and softer the tip of your rod, the easier it is for you to cast lighter weight. for example if you get a 2-4 or 1-3kg rod thats about 7ft you will be able to cast a weightless hook.

great vid...but you're pretty harsh on the fish you catch. Not sure dragging them up over rocks and then through the leaves, twigs, dirt & gravel is best for the fishes health & survival. Wet a towel & try swinging the fish out of the water & into the waiting wet towel

Love your videos, but can I please make an observation since I have seen this done time and again - if you hold a fish with a dry towel, or wipe it down with the towel when measuring, you are removing the essential slime coating that the fish needs to avoid infection. It may well swim off when released but there is a good chance that it will not survive in the long term. PLEASE - don't do this!
