Awesome video mate. I've been searching all across the net for the little tips like the stopper knot and the actual presentation of the weed/bait on the hook.

Interesting footwork there mate. Do you clean the messy rocks so you don't get the fish dirty?

Question about the shoes - are they normal shoes with cleats on them or specially designed. And if so what brand did you get?

Your at one of my favourite fishing spots that I've been fishing for over 33 years. The hole, Malabar. However, I fish, not off that front rock but on the ledge to the left of the actual hole itself. Bit dangerous( if your a novice or don't have someone to show you how to fish it safely or your an idiot with no respect for the water).Nearly lost my brother in that spot. 3 guys died in that spot in the mid 80's over a 12 month period. They were not native ozzie's.However, it's not my favourite spot. The wreck up further to the point but before yellow rock is way, way better!! But more dangerous!! You have to count the waves and be aware that within every 100 or so waves, a freaker (not normal like the rest) comes in and is real big and can get you!! Went in off the wreck within the first year I started fishing blackies. It's the same with the hole.you can swim out off the rocks at the wreck and get back in further down the bay where it's calmer. I did it but it was the middle of winter!!! He he.. Friggin freezing!!! The hole is way more dangerous than the wreck because if u go in there and get sucked into the hole itself(that's why it's called the hole), it will smash u up into the roof of the cave. That's what happened to each of the 3 guys that died. They are in the top 3 back fishing spots in my life. The fish are smaller than my 3rd spot but they are much healthier and better to eat. I have a loving admiration for those fish and those 2 spots. On my death bed. That is one of the images I'll have before I leave this world!!! Very informative video, however, I use much less weed than that. It has a tendency to attract the piggies and then u get busted off in and around the hole. I only ever landed a few small piggies, because of that over 32 years fishing the hole. Too much for them to bust u off in that area. The wreck is a different story. Sorry if I offended with my critique of technique of fishing that spot. Still the most concise and detailed content I've ever seen on black fishing! However! There's a lot lot more to fishing blackies in those areas. Yellow rock has taken more Fishermans lives than any other rock in the world.....and that is a fact!! I classify the hole as the second most dangerous place in Sydney after the wreck!!!! Safety! Safety! Safety! First and foremost. If anyone wants to get educated on this area. Drop me a line. Cost u nothing and might save your life brothers. Thanks Al Visnevski for teaching me how to and more importantly how to respect and read that water brother. Master ( still alive and still fishing) black fisherman. He he he......😜 Dom.

Luderick? When I was a keen young fisherman growing up in far-northern NSW, folks used to call 'em something different. Might get you into a spot of bother these days...
