We've been smoking those Trout off the Freeport side from May thru July. We caught a few on Surfside side but Freeport was always holding, you never know though. I caught my 31" PB on Large Texas Chicken Corky's that are cheaper at Bucess beach store.. $4 cheaper than Academy. We'd hit it at daylight during the week & was gone just after sun up 🤟 Time to Break the Old Town Yaks out baby
I think everyone has to take a turn at not getting bit while everyone else is getting smashed. I will be down in that area in mid June and again in later November. Anything going on at those times at the beach or jetties? Really enjoy your videos!!!
June at the jetties should be good, and the beach as well! It will be a little hotter outside, so it's best to be there early for the morning bite. November is also a great time for flounder and big bull reds!
I never used anything heavier than 12 lb test for speckled trout. My buddy often used 10 lb test. I haven’t been fishing in years but the jetties are a great place to fish when the southeast wind is blowing the green water in close to shore. Everything is so expensive now including licenses, bait, etc. and the slot limits are overly restrictive in my opinion.
And yea, this economy is rough, for guys who are going solely for keepers to put fish in the freezer it can be hard to justify spending all that money for 3 fish.
I’ve heard a lot of different stuff from different people. Personally I dont care about the limit change cause I rarely kept 5 trout, but it’s a shame to see former keepers die cause people don’t treat them right. As far as the citations goes if they want to write some more they can just head to the jetties, place is a gold mine.

So the moon has something to do with fish biting? Cause I thought that was bull..but anyways I keep texting to much...thank you again!!
