How to Catch Meloetta in The Indigo Disk - Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC 

My daughter was getting upset she couldn’t catch it despite following your instructions. Then I noticed that you were spinning clockwise and she counterclockwise. Once I told her to spin clockwise, it worked.

When I heard Meloetta's song I shed a tear. Not only is one of my favorite Pokémon in the game, BUT IT'S CATCHABLE!!!!

This feels like a step-up to Galarian Yanmask evolution. And only thought about this comes in my head. HOW WOULD ANYONE COME NATURALLY TO THE CONCLUSION WITHOUT THE INTERNET

Man this method sounds like an April Fool’s Joke

The DLC has you whirl in order to summon Meloetta because it's a reference to her Pirouette Forme! The guitarist who teaches Meloetta Relic Song in the Generation V games (this is where the sepia part comes from) mentions that it lost its red shoes at the same time that sorrow darkened the world, and it lost the song it had danced to. This is a reference to the Hans Christian Andersen fairy-tale The Red Shoes. It tells a moral tale based upon the idea of temptation and eventual redemption. The story is based upon the protagonist's desire for a pair of shoes and the consequences of her temptation.

After this + getting Manaphy in PLA, I’m convinced that Game Freak saw the old theories of Mew being under the truck and similar ideas and just decided to put them in the game for funsies

The Synchro Machine is such an insane feature. The fact that I can just become one with Toedscool and be the goofy boi I want to be roaming the Terrarium...it's amazing. There's a reason the filter is sepia! In Castelia City in Black/White and Black 2/White 2, the musician at the Café Sonata who teaches Meloetta Relic Song says "The scent you brought me reminded me of a long-ago melody from the fringes of my sepia-toned memories” and plays the Relic Song for you while Meloetta dances. In Black/White she just dances in her Aria Forme, but in Black 2/White 2, she changes forms while dancing. The fact they did such a reference to this for Meloetta in Indigo Disk is incredible One of my favorite callbacks to the Gen 5 games is that in the middle of the Canyon Biome is a callback to the Nature Preserve from Black 2/White 2! Similarly to the Nature Preserve, wild Altaria and Fraxure can be found in this area. You can even catch Haxorus, like you can in the Nature Preserve, except it's a static special Tera-type Haxorus in the same exact spot! Though my favorite callback is how when you change your clubroom to make it look futuristic, it's themed after Pokéstar Studios' Big Monster and Invaders films!

The sepia tone is reference to the Meloetta event in the original Unova Games. The guy who would teach Meloetta relic song mentioned “sepia toned memories”…

Guys I tried to do this before talking to the NPC at the beginning of the video like he told us to talk to so remember talk to the person who hints Meloetta's in the game first and don't jump right into activating it.

I just got caught Meloetta just now. I had a little trouble seeing the wind circle. But once it it showed up, i did the steps.

Idk if anyone else know this yet, but if you push B I think, any pokemon that can fly and land, will swap between running and flying depending on what they were doing previously

This is seriously awesome! Meloetta is one of my favorite pokemon and now we can find and catch it with out a distribution!

Thought I should mention, I also love the synchro mechancis but you can find uncatchable shinies by using it too much. Be careful.

If you get close to her model and haven't looked at other art of her, you'll notice that she has a mic and half-headset as part of her body...she's designed to resemble an idol singer! Also, it's cute that Gamefreak gave Meloetta the Fighting Tera type to denote that she can naturally change into one with Relic Song. I believe that the Groudon you can catch via the Groudon treat in Scarlet is similar in that it has Fire as its default Tera type, since it's a very volcano-oriented Pokemon in spite of being a pure Ground type normally.

This is legit better then getting gifted events.. Prefer to progress far enough and somewhat earn a useable mon instead of getting something gifted before the 1st gym..

If scarlet and violet had had ultra 2d graphics they could really have been the most beautiful game of the entire series.. Finding this pokemon was beautiful and exciting despite the 3000 graphic bugs.. At least on something you have to be rewarded gamefreak

Oh my gosh, if this is I’m the game, I hope there’s other mythicals in the game! (Mostly hoping for Diancie in the area zero caverns, that tree was way too weird to be nothing. Also Carbink commonly spawn there AND Kalos is a neighboring region. [im coping])

I just KNEW when Paldea was shown that we would somehow at some point be able to catch ourselves Meloetta given the atmosphere aka music! What I didn't expect is that we would be in Unova and that makes it so much more awesome!! Pokemon keep doing this for the mythicals ✌

So caught it it took me a while but i got it. Also her in the fighting tera type in her piroutte form…looks really cool on her.

Now we just gotta wait for the actual gen 9 mythical event to drop. Still a ghost poison type peach pokemon sounds like alot of fun.

Quick note: you don't have to play any music in the camera app to get Meloetta, you only have to use the Sepia filter.

This video helped so much Meloetta is my favorite Pokémon and I was able to catch her at full health with a Dusk Ball.

They're making us work to get Meloetta but at least we can freaking get it and it's not too bad as a method, less annoying than trying to find a Feebas back in Ruby and Sapphire. XD

I really hope more pokemon can be found through hidden methods like this. Imagine finding celebi in the woods in kitakami through some similar methods.

I never thought at Meloetta is in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet but it only works at night time do to weather in the day when i first fought trying every poke ball including the Love ball for the first time I managed to catch it in a regular poke ball

The best Natures are Shy, Docile, Hard Working, Quirky, and Earnest if you were to give Meloetta the move Ancient Song. That move will change its typing, and it attack and special attack stats.

Meloetta in a Master Ball caught in some random spot just sounds so wrong yet here we are. We had Keldeo in SwSh, now Meloetta in SV so who knows, maybe the 2nd DLC of Gen 10 will give us Genesect

Guys if the wind is not appearing make sure to talk to the npc first; it wasn't working but when i talked with the npc it worked and she appeared.

Guys just so you know you got to talk to the npc first i tried to do it without talking to him and it didnt work talk to kid in the classroom first

liking how gamefreak aren't locking these old mystical pokemon behind special once in a life time events Mew is my favoriet pokemon so it sucks how hard it used to be to get it but now I can get one whenever I want and same with Jirachi and now Meloetta (though its still locked behind DLC)

The method involved spinning because of Meloetta's Pirouette form (pirouette being French for whirl) and in the BW games, I think the guy who teaches Relic Song mentioned something about his "sepia-toned memories", hence the sepia filter.

I was trying so hard and on a last ditch, i say to myself "i have nothing to lose" i try and...lucky me, when i hear meloetta song...i was having a spare master ball so, i catch her with it

I never owned MELOETTA before so it's AWESOME MELOETTA is on POKéMON SCARLET AND VIOLET THE INDIGO DISC DLC, taking a picture of it bring me back when I played Pokémon Snap on NINTENDO SWITCH. Meloetta and it's BEAUTIFUL Singing Voice bring me back Pokémon Rival Destinies My FAVOURITE episodes where Dawn came back defienitily episode where they was in an Island of Onix is my FAVOURITE. LOVE these Unova Referenses like Blue Berry Academy, Unoba starters and Legendaries like Kyurem and Meloetta. Can't wait to play The Indigo Disc after The Teal Mask. I was expecting the circle of leaves to be more visible. Didn’t realize you could barely see them.

Meloetta was so hard to catch. I had to lower the HP of the Pokemon to 1, paralyze it, and keeping throwing Poké Balls like Ultra Balls, Quick Balls, Repeat Balls, and Timer Balls. In the end, I used a Timer Ball to catch it.

I’m over here still trying to complete the main Pokédex haha, can’t get koraidon or flutter mane. Them surprise trades not helping no more haha

Is this a like limited event bc no matter how many times I do the steps and I’m in the right place Meloetta does not show up plus the guy that gives you the hint is not in the classroom at all
