Dude I call myself the fluke master and I’ve seen this before with drop shot rigs and things like that but thanks for the heads up I’m nervous it won’t keep the action I’m looking for but makes since about getting bit from the head
The way I rig it similarly to the way you do, simply produces less action than this method due to the fact the hook only is through the nose there’s not wire going halfway though the plastic making for a much more fluttery / twitchy action. I’ve never rigged it the way he’s showing it either mind you, but you best believe I have some TK150s on hand and will be putting this method through the gambit over the weekend. We shall see
I catch a ton of fish on the 6th Sense flush texas rigged. Been hesitant to fish the nose hook it in fear of ripping through baits I gotta try that elaztech soon!!
@@JD_Fishing nose hooking completely kills the action of the lure as soon as a single piece of grass or moss grabs that exposed hook point, or wraps the line and slides down to the hook bend. Plus it will foul hook itself every time the line has any slack. Texas rigging allows you to work it closer to cover. With fewer hangups. Bucket-mouths do try to eat lures head-first but the drag from your line and the flappy tail getting sucked in always turn the fluke around.
