“Half the time bass guys catch more muskies than musky guys do“ I felt that. Me and my friends cast for muskies and rarely catch any, but every bass fishermen we run into talks about how they catch them all the time.
When I’m musky fishing I’ll commit to a lure that I have confidence in. After a couple hours if no action I get out the blender and start throwing everything in my box. But they only get like 15 minutes. Until I get action then I’ll stick with that all day maybe try different sizes of same action. Ie using a double 8 getting follows no hits might try double 10s
@@ticesine6589 he who has that attitude is the one nobody likes. As a Pennsylvania boy, we have both in my state. However local to me there are no purebreds.
I really hate that you guys act like the big baits from Europe mean nothing in North America, you are promoting some very generic musky lures that have better iterations available from FoxRAGE, Spru and Storm EU. BigFishTackle Svartzunker, Strike Pro, EastField Westin these are all great brands made by people who are very good at targeting predators. Why dont we have big swimbaits being promoted by fishing shows. its really frustrating to see you guys not using lures that are better quality for segments on Musky fishing in Canada and The US.
Big swimbaits are endorsed on Musky shows for U.S. and Canada. Quality swimbaits are quickly becoming a go to selection so I'm not sure what you are talking about. Second, Europe is not known for its Musky fishing. Consequently, lure designs are made for Pike which are much different fish. Lastly, when you can out musky fish Doug then give him and others tips. Until then keep the comments positive.
Its simple... no US distributorship. I look on european sites and see lures I'd love to have but then you cant get them here. I've looked into getting certain lures before and got roadblocked by high shipping and customs fees.
Savage gear 3D trout is also pretty awesome and from europe(?). Rigged with 130lb seaguar fluoro and they are deadly. Ever since then, I've stopped using all my other muskie lures other than occasional topwater lures.
