Nice steelhead indeed! With the warm start to March, steelhead are probably headed back into the Lake fairly soon.

You should be able to catch steelhead with a magnet.

Man, when I lived in Northern Ohio I spent some time fishing for steelhead in the Rocky river... multiple times and never caught one!

The main difference is strength and sensitivity, otherwise, they would be equal - so glad you are enjoying our videos and thanks for writing in👍👍🎣🎣

That mark was from a Lamprey and there is a guide to eating sportfish in Ontario that will advise exactly what you can eat and how much - just Google "guide to eating Ontario sportfish" and it will come up - as the Niagara River is shared with the USA - if you are in the USA, this guide will help you as well.
