Have any tips for celebrating pride in the closet? It might help a fellow gay if you leave them below 🖤 P.S If you missed it, Teaching My Mum LGBT Terms PART 2 IS UP!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-l6GBv5tn2tM.html
What would you say to young guys who have some serious fear issues about coming out? Lol even just perusing straight relationships, or any affection at all... I'm not even bad looking, but I'm just scared of showing love due to PTSD. Even though I know the LGBT community is welcoming, I'm frigiyer than Jack Frost.⛄ It's hard for me not to detail an essay about my mental situation, I've already deleted two or three as to keep it readable...
I don’t know if you’ll see this but, you have really helped me to come out to myself and some of my family. And I just feel so happy when I watch these videos! It’s good to have a fellow Australian Lesbian. Thanks 😊
Ikr me never in my life will I come out lol 😂 no then pride month comes and basically attacks me and says hi hi come here tell them about it tell them me still not telling anyone but my friends anything
Makeing pride flags in games like Minecraft, researching things and saying it’s for a project if I get caught, colors, and listening to songs/watching movies and youtubers are what I’ve been doing. My mom and them are none the wiser. I’m out to one of my cousins and I’m going to schedule a hangout night with her to celebrate a little bit. I’m also out to online friends whom I talk to regularly and I’m planning to come out to my irl best friend.
I actually have a pride flag world in minecraft, I think my mom is suspecting I'm gay though because I had my noise canceling headphones in and she came into my room while I was writing a letter in the world about being gay and I turn around and she's there, she saw my pride world🥴
If you're a lesbian and want to listen to a lesbian song, you can listen to girls by girl in red if you haven't already. Happy Pride Month!!! 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
Thank you so much for this! I was kinda sad this month cuz it's my first pride month knowing I'm not straight and it feels like I can't do anything to celebrate because I'm not out of the closet yet. Tysm you're awesome Lauren
Another thing I do is make pride flags in video games. I have a private Minecraft world with my pride flags, and some pride flags in my custom designs in Animal Crossing New Horizons.
Thank you so much 😭 my family AND I are VERY Christian, but I’m worried they won’t accept me. I am still questioning myself. I currently think I am bi, I am mostly attracted to males, but if a girl asked me out I would say yes.
My suggestion is to see how they would react to an LGBTQIA+ person on tv or out in public, if you see someone watch how they react, if they dont seem bothered, you can try it a few more times until you feel safe. But dont feel pressured into coming out. Come out when you feel ready and your environment feels safe. It might also help to wait until you have the ability to provide for yourself so you can give them some space to process it or if things go wrong.
Tysm!!! For pride month I asked my mom for a big bag of skittles, (my excuse was it was for a end of the school year thing-) and I’ve been eating one rainbow of skittles everyday, Best and easiest way I’ve ever celebrated pride month in the closet UwU
Being in the closet is so difficult. When I first started questioning I never really realised how hard this journey of figuring myself out was going to be. I know I am Lesbian but I don't know how my family will react to me telling them. I think my mum will accept me but I don't know about my dad, I think my grandparents will but you know different generation and all that 😐 It doesn't help that one of the only women in the media and on American TV (Ellen Degeneres) is leaving her show and all that other "cancel culture" drama is happening and it makes me sad. I am really struggling now 😢 She was the first woman that I saw that was gay that made me realise that what I was feeling was ok and that I could still be happy. I just don't know what to do with myself, sometimes I wake up and I feel like telling my mum but then I just don't and I have been up and down about it for months. It sometimes feels that I will be stuck in the closet forever 😢 I would like a girlfriend but fear is stopping me. I know this comment is personal but I really needed to get my feelings out . I hope you can understand.
Listen I’m here for you it’s has being closeted I was in it for years as a gay man but it was had because people bullied me for it It gets better trust me
A good example of a bold but subtle gay show is “The Owl House” where the main character Luz has a girlfriend called Amity. (That’s pretty much what the show says) But also not having that be the main plot, but there are little snippets of gay e.g when Amity kisses Luz on the cheek. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk
The funny thing is I'm out to basically everyone except my family. Anyways, I'm celebrating pride month by changing my discord profile pic to another lbgt anime character every other day, which makes a change from my usual one lol
You don’t understand how happy this makes me feel when I hear this! 🖤 this is exactly how I want my channel/videos to feel, safe !! Of course, I’ll keep making more!!
I'm 13 and I never really thought about me being part of the lgbtq+ community, plenty of my friends are so it has crossed my mind but I've never seriously thought about it. Recently a lot of your videos have been coming onto my recommended page and well I think you know where I'm going with this- Point of the story is now I have a crush on my friend and I'm bad at hiding it, so as you may have been able to tell it's going great
I just watch RU-vidrs in English with LGBT content because my family just speak Spanish 😜 that's another way to celebrate when you're still in the closet 🥳🥰
Hey Lauren!!😁 Long time no see😥 I was off-line for two years and finally back on last year or this year sorry. I'm just happy to see you and your videos. Always keep on doing what you're doing. Love you as a youtuber. Stay strong stay Gay😃😁😊😇😎
Xana is one of my favorite lesbian artists!! Also something I did last year was I wore bracelets in the color of my flag on my wrists, and super fun and not that noticeable!
Also if ur closeted and ur nervous about ur parents finding out you can do small things: like taking markers that ur pride flags color And put them on ur desk. Or you can make brackets with the colors.
@@rebekahmcc23 my parents do know like everything about lgbtq but they think I just like colors no I’m just pan pls understand this lol 😂 but no it’ll never happen lol 😝
My subtle way to celebrate pride was painting my nails with the bi flag. My friends totally got it, my students thought I was going for a galaxy theme lol.
Thank you so much!!! I am out to my family and close friends but not the world. Also I did not know where to put this but my mom tried to buy me pride crocs today!!! It was so thoughtful but I don’t want them so I said no❤️
I love wearing headphones and listining to gay music while I am near my family and feeling like, what would they say, if they know what music i am listinig to.
I seriously am subscribing to her/you because um- I think I’m bi, but my mom and dad are kinda homophobic- Not really, they support the LGBTQ+ community, but they think I’m ‘too young’. Like if I can date guys, and see guys and girls kissing, hugging, etc., I can see girls kissing, hugging, (etc.) too.
Another band that has has some nice LGBTQ+ content is The Crane Wives. A lot of their songs have really subtle gay undertones (and I mean REALLY subtle, so if people hear it they’re probably not gonna figure it out at all!), and plus their music is just amazing. They’re such an underrated band, too.
You could watch The Prom on Netflix, or you could listen to its soundtrack. You could also watch Victorious on Netflix too, or possibly listen to its soundtrack as well.
My unofficial list of queer artists/supportive artists (apologies if any are wrong, this correct to my knowledge) - Girl in Red - Billie Eilish - Chappell Roan - Sam Smith - Beth Mc Carthy - Mad Tsai - Jess Glynne - Yungblud There are a few others, but hopefully this helps some people out, there’s a range of music styles in here so hopefully something for everyone ❤️🏳️🌈
I really want to go to a pride event, but I don't know how or where or what to do!!! (I am in Canada, and I really, really, really want to go to one. Know of any events near me?
@@laurenelloise oo thank you. Btw I am wearing NB flag colers, Watched feel good TV series and as always listenned a ton of pride playlists on spotify. Thank you for awsome suggestions.
Kinda early?- But thank you! I’m out to my dad, mom, brother, and my big brothers friend but no one else accept 2 of my friends. So I can do this and my grandparents and others won’t really know.
I just wanted to say that u're so pretty and I wish u all the happiness in the world 💕 p.s: I would still wish u the same thing if u weren't pretty either
Happy Pride Month everyone and I been out as Bi and sadly my parents don’t support it at all cause they are homophobic and I chose to not come out as non binary or demisexual but I have a lot of pride merch in my room
this helps me iam questioning rn and my top three fav shows are LGBTQ+ and my favorite ships aswell also i have made some LGBTQ+ related edits on capcut 🏳🌈🏳🌈🏳🌈
I'm scared to celebrate pride because my parents are Christian and they do not support LGBT at all and if I make it obvious I'm scared they are going to take me to church to “Get the disease out of me”, that is what they said when I asked what they would do if I became a lesbian and since I still live with my parents I have no actual free will So this actually helped *a lot*
Pride Month is celebrated every June in tribute to those involved in the Stonewall Riots. Many pride events are held during this month to increase visibility of LGBTQ+ people, uplift LGBTQ+ voices, celebrate LGBTQ+ culture and the support of our rights. :))
