In my more than 30 years working in mechanical maintenance, I have never seen so many errors together in the disassembly and assembly of a centrifugal pump. Sure it will work, but the life of the bearings will be short.
Some people in this comment section have no idea what they are talking about. Yeah these guys don’t have all the cool nifty bearing installation tools, but they did a very good and clean enough rebuild for the criticality of this pump.
Awesome work guys. Love to see work getting done with minimal tools and common sense. Keep it up. Don’t listen to those haters taking about PPE. They cant do work like this
Grease is common as it does not leak out, oil can be used but most centrifugal pumps of this type run on greased bearings. if you wanted to keep the seals on the sealed bearings that is also an option as sealed bearings are designed to run for ever without further lubrication, but in pumps they are subjected to wet conditions and sealed bearing will soon get noisy, so taking out the inner seal makes sense if the lubrication point is on the inside of the bearing, but on saying that probably both sealed seals should have been removed as the pump was designed for open bearings, i would have packed both bearing with grease as well.. But all in all they got the job done.
Que brutos para darle semejante golpe a los rodamientos, tantos golpes que le dio ya esos rodamientos están malos, entiendan los rodamientos se malogran más por el mal montaje que por el uso mismo.
