Thank you! I just used your technique to do the wainscoting in my entry way. It came out beautiful. I used french linen, old white, duck egg and cocoa. Then I used gilding wax in copper for the wood detail. Super awesome, you are very thorough and talented.

monroe444444 Hi! Glad you liked it!! I am hoping to do a similar effect on a future tutorial! We had a few requests for more like this and I am happy to make another video! Thanks for subscribing!! 🎨
Please please please tell me where to buy your shortie handle chip brushes? I’m a new subscriber and am loving your style, dogs and your cat! I grew up with three of them!
Hi Julie!!! You can take a look at my amazon store. In my latest video description box you can see a link to my Amazon store and you can find the palm chippy brushes in the brushes folder 🎨🙏❤️
Lovely piece! I have one question: you didn’t let the Country Grey coat dry, did you? What I am asking is if you added the blue when the grey was still wet? I was worried it might all mix together and form a yukky brownish colour... Will have to try this technique. It’s a nice change! Your pieces are all stunning and your tutorials very helpful. Thank you.
Ian Pascale ... Thank you so much for your kind comment 🙏... the trick is to moisten your brush when you add accent colours ...if you wet or moisten your furniture piece you reactivate the paint and the new colour additions will be moist so that will mix the colour tones ... I wasn’t worried about blending as the blue tones with the rag would cover the undertones not having smooth transitions... hope that makes sense 🧐? ... in other words before I applied the blue colour wash and ragged it... the desk looks like it has swirls all over it ... lol ... but the blue tones dismissed that look...I just wanted different undertones under the blue 😉😉💙
The Reclaimed Heirloom Thank you for taking the time to reply! And sorry for asking again, so you did let chateau grey dry before moving on to the blue coat? OK, leaving you alone, now! 😉
Ian Pascale Hi Ian, no worries glad to answer your questions. Yes I let the country grey dry first and then added the Aubusson blue wash. Let me know if you have any other questions, I am happy to help. I would love to see your final project send me a photo!! 🎨
The Reclaimed Heirloom Thanks again, Christina, for being so helpful! My name is actually Pascale and Ian is my husband and he knows... nothing about furniture painting! 🤣 We keep saying we have to change our email address... very confusing for everyone, sorry! Have a good weekend!
Karen Butcher ... hi Karen... once the paint is fully dry ... I usually wait because of layers about and 1-2 hours ... I apply clear wax with either a wax brush or clean lint free cloth... whichever... both are fine... then I wipe off any excess and buff with clean cloth again... it gives a really nice sheen... not gloss ... just a clean sheen ... without compromising the matte finish... hope this helps! If you have any questions please feel free to contact me anytime 💙💙
Hi! you can ask questions here in the comment box and I will get back to you. Feel free to email me your project pictures. email: thereclaimedheirloom@outlook.com Thanks again for watching! 🎨🙏
Although the desk is beautiful, I really don’t care to listen to music and have to read the instructions. I’d rather you speak and see you do the technique. Also, you were in front of the camera for most of the video so it was hard to see what you were doing.
Hi Bahama Mama! Thanks for the feedback! this is one of my earlier videos and I was still learning how to edit. It takes some time to edit and I have improved in my video sounds and camera angles in my latest videos. Thanks for you supporting my channel greatly appreciated!! 💕🎨🙏❤️
