How to change 2012 Fiat 500 Tag Lights 

Excellent video. I had exact same situation with my 2012. My solution was changing the sockets from the latch to 2013 sockets.

Thank Dirtfoot, very helpful. My dash said something about plate light. I ordered a 2012 from Walmart (arriving tomorrow). Is the fiat 500 a european rally car? It kinda acts like it (rabbit). I got one recently (used) cause it was cheap, small, and a manual transmission.

You MISSED a part: how did you unclip the wired part from the burned out LED. THAT'S the part I can't get past.

Did the message on the dashboard went away? Do you have a link for the lights?

See my 2012 pop has the lights going out at random. Sometimes they come back on on a start but... it's not for long. Hopefully doing this can keep them on. But that said, I know the lamps on some aren't external for 2012. They're part of the whole latch assembly. Hopefully that's not the case on mine because this would be much more affordable a fix.
