The spotlight I have has the clip brackets the go outwards and latch against the other side of the ceiling. How is that one removed without damaging the ceiling because of the large latching brackets.
Hi, I am looking for similar downlight for my bathroom and wondering from where can I buy them? Pulling the whole downlight unit each time when replacing the fault bulb would damage the ceiling board. Any link for similar downlight would be really appreciated. Thanks
That's one fitting. Ours has a push on / pull off glass cover, possibly silva fitting. Held with a rubber type seal. Having got the cover off just remove bulb the normal way for GU10. I started extracting the whole lot then found ours worked that way.
I appreciate it's likely no one will be reading this anytime soon, but does anyone know what the model of the baseplate is (particularly it's white equivalent or something that would look similar)? I have the exact same type of fit in the bathroom and one of the prongs has broken off and so I need to replace it.
@@checkwithrob1158This comment just saved me the price of calling an electrician. I needed to change the front plate and could not find the brand anywhere on the web. Easy after I found the name here. Thanks 🙏
Check With Rob I’ve actually got that part sorted bud it just needed a little push there’s one light we are struggling with when I bring it out the full light fitting actually comes out with it, I’m assuming it’s something I’m going to have to let the landlord know about possibly ?
Mike Giles , if you’re in any doubt please turn the lighting circuit off from the consumer unit. However this is not normally necessary if the light switch is turned off and the bulb is cool.
