Should be okay as long as it fits with the cover over it, the cover will protect you from Heat

Looks like we have the same design whirlpool dryer. 1) what was the part number for the replacement light bulb please? 2) can the light bulb be purchased at a local hardware store? 3) why was it such a struggle to remove the old light bulb (is there a trick to remove it easier)? Thank you

The bulb can be purchased at Home Depot just remove the old one first and take it there with you. Or you can purchase the bulb on the link provided in description of the video

I purchased a new bulb from an appliance parts store, and it was orange, and barely lit. I went back and purchased a 2nd one thinking the first bulb was the wrong bulb, or damaged. The 2nd bulb does the same thing. I used the model number to purchase the bulb. What do you think the problem could be?
