Just subscribed. Enjoyed watching your f250 series. I do a lot of work on obs aero-nose and brick-nose fords, mostly f150s, and mostly like working with and using base model (xl) with straight shift 5-speeds and the 300 six cylinders. They make for reliable farm trucks around here, and most of us old-timers like the simplicity of them as an EFI truck. Down here in Ky they don't rust away as fast, but I'm originally from northeast Ohio, so I can relate to the rust belt. And I swear by fluid film, even down here. And love the old model A ford stuff. Thank you! I love Ford trucks. I've started with an '82 F100, then OBS '97 F250 HD, then '77 F250 Camper Special, and last the '95 F250. I've had the 300, two 351s and a 460. '73-79 are my favorite followed close by '80-'86. OBS are nice for a more modern feel. Hopefully Fluid Film will keep my '95 on the road for a few years!
I don't need to change them. Just knock out the plug with a chisel and tap the new one in with a socket that's slightly smaller than the freeze plug. It's easy.
So you don’t have to worry about plugging those two ports for the transmission cooler? I have a standard transmission as well. Great video though very helpful I had to buy a rubber cap and clamp for that other port near the radiator cap
The first time I watched your video I missed where you said that it was a 2 row core you sent me a comment saying that it is a 3 row core which is it 2 or 3 row I'm getting ready to do this on my 88 f250 all I can find at my local parts stores is 2 row core
If I said in the video it's 2 row then that's what it is. I always try to do 3 if I can, but I must have bought a 2 if that's what I said in the video. This was 3 years and 50,000 miles ago so I didn't remember. The truck has never got hot with the 2 row. It's a daily driver and I tow a trailer. No issues.
