Hi all,
anyone that has done any research into Smart 453 cars (The ForTow or ForFour) will have seen in online forums niggles and electrical gremlins surface when your Smart Car battery is starting to wear out... lots and lots of weird notifications of ABS failure/Traction Control Engine management lights... These cars are SUPER sensitive to a worn battery.
This video is how to change the original battery to a good quality replacement AGM battery.
The Battery I have used here is a VARTA brand, 560901068 AGM 027 12V 60 AH 680CCA 0/1 B13
Its the first time I have done this on a 453 and was genuinely looking forward to it... it really isn't complicated but you will need patience, skinny arms/hands or a good long reach tool to get at the battery clamp .
