I had multiple issues with this problem. The turn signal/flasher relay was bad. A blown fuse under the dash and a blown maxi 20 amp fuse under the hood. Plus I had a weak connection on the driver's side front side marker light at the socket. All functions fine now. My dimmer switch just quit so I'll be replacing the switch in the video. Good luck!
Thanks man i have 95 orvis edition grand cherokee have problem with turn signal my self i replace bulbs i have hazards but not turn signals. Waitin for the new switch
great that you showed us how to remove turn signal arm on this type ZJ cherokee, not alot of info on this style, even though it didn't fix your problem you still posted it, It might still help me and others - But bro, what was the final fix to get your signal lights working again ????????
Almost 4 years too late, but it's obvious your problem is the turn signal/hazards relay (flasher) located under the steering column to the right. Often the relay is still good, you just need to pull it out, bang it against a table a couple of times, and clean the leads a bit. Once you put it back in, it should work like new.
@@danemiller4852 alot of videos/people are going to the signal relay fix - on the passenger side above fuse box on the ZJ . Utube Video is title - 1998 Jeep ZJ (Grand Cherokee) Turn Signal Flasher Relay Replacement - guy has a light blue long sleeve shirt on and does good job of showing exactly where the relay is located on this model ( and it is not behind the steering wheel or on that side of the car, like all/most of the videos are showing for a different model Cherokee. Not alot of videos on the ZJ.
