Today I will show you the best way to change a string; how to avoid small problems with the pegs, and we will also see a simple and effective way to get the pegs turn well without any resistance.

What beautiful bass pegs! I've never seen any like that. I like where the little holes for the strings are drilled, as well, it seems much better constructed than the bass pegs I've seen here in the USA.

😉 There are Viennese Machine heads made by Rubner Bassmechaiken in Germany. I think the most expensive ones they make. But also the most beautiful ones. I just love this industrial design of them. Edgar

Edgar, can you put too much sideways pressure on the cheeks of the tuning box by having too many turns on the peg? I remember one luthier mentioning this. He said its possible to crack the cheeks if that sideways pressure is too much.
