Great video thanks for posting, walked me through it step by step and worked great! I had my mower on a slight ramp which may have helped and i agree with some of the comments i don’t know how one person can reach the underneath bolt and unscrew at same time, i just unscrewed the top and was able to fit the belt under. All the steps were well explained thank you!

Thank you! Very helpful and really adds value and confirmation that I made the right decision to purchase an Ariens zero-turn over other competitors. I have been super satisfied and have been able to maintain my own tractor. Having to cut 10 acres of hilly grasslands was a difficult decision. After a year and half with my zero-turn it has outperformed my expectations. Ariens now has a loyal and life-time buyer!

My belt has popped off a few times, it's amazing how the belt can come out but there's no way it will go back in without following this procedure.

No belt routing diagram in the book. The only reason I watched this video was for the belt routing. Hard to take a photo when you’re changing the belt because it broke. 🤦🏼‍♂️

I have a 2020-ish 42" Ikon XD (3 deck blade) and the v-belt for it was 57" x 1/2" (oem# 07200718). This repair had to get done at 400 hours and in a customers lawn while raining. I eventually found my way to this video. This job will likely take much longer than you'd expect. Getting the blade belt off is probably the easiest part of this job. I also noticed the pulley height difference and my old belt had worn away half of one side before snapping as a result. I'm also not a fan of the plastic pulleys and fans on the hydros and feel they should replaced with metal and is extremely cheap. I will not buy from this brand again given the low quality choice of this. Tips: 1. You'll want a wratcheting wrench (9/16 I believe) and need to back the pulley spring tensionor nut off fully to get the spring back on. 2. The clutch connector has a male tab on the outside that locks into a raised part on the back of the other connector you pry up with a flathead while pulling apart to disconnect. 3. The black strut bar is removed by, (a) two 5" long bolts through either side of the engine, (b) removing one nut right center of bar, (c) removing two ~1/4" bolts just left from center of bar (bracket that srops clutch from spinning)

Why would my factory belt break at just 20 hours of operation? I've checked all of the idler and blade pulley bearings, and they are all smooth and quiet.

Just did belt replacment this morning, I'd like to know how anyone did it alone on a flat surface holding the bottom of the deck while loosening the arm, luckily I have a lift and a second person around to hold it while I ratcheted it from the top.

Not more than 8 hrs on the mower and I am replacing the belt. Simple drawing in the operators manual would be nice. Or maybe a better quality belt!!!!! Thinking I should have bought a Toro!!!

Belt broke at .6hrs you don’t give the belt path in the owners manual and instead tell us to refer to the maintenance manual which you don’t give the customer

It appears that you place the idler spring back on the idler stud and then the spring seat on top of the spring and then tighten nut and washer and spring seat on top of the spring hook. I'm sure the spring had to be repositioned on the seat before tightening the idler nut.

Can you please tell me the size of the belt on this machines?machine?. 143 inch by half ½ tick?

I’m a little pissed I’m installing a new deck belt on my 52” zero turn with less than 15 hours on it. One of those stupid little belt fingers that they mentioned popped out of the little slot they’re supposed to sit in and destroyed my belt. IMO it’s a crappy design because they barely sit into that little slot. Otherwise so far I really like the mower. Just kind of depressing watching the neighbor lady cutting her grass with my old mower (cub) I gave her when I bought this one.🙄

When the mover is on, I am trying to turn PTO Blades on, and it's Clicking but won't work. What does it mean?

Why would my belt break on the second use of a brand new mower? Is something wrong and is this covered by Ariens warranty?

Should have made bearings with grease fittings poor design but great more I use mine as a bush hog

What a joke. There is no way you did this by yourself with the mower on a flat surface. Then a deep well socket won't even get to the lower belt. It required an extension and the mower being lifted to allow for the extension. Then for you to reach both the underneath bolt and the upper nut you must have monkey arms.

Make on for an Ikon 52” Jesus Christ. I can find everything but that model
