I just replaced all the body mounts on my 04 silverado I used the Dorman Body mounts, they are a little tight in the holes and you have to play around with them to get them to set well but overall good mounts very close to the oem mounts. Your video was helpful for me to change mine out. I had knocking noises at low speed and this was the problem.

@@louieworld2537 I ordered mine from Rockauto.com that is the cheapest place I could find them. There are different part numbers for the front radiator area the mid cab and back of cab. If yours is extended cab or crew cab will take 8 total mine is a regular cab so replaced 6. You can also look up the parts on Dorman.com. Hope this helps.

I put new polyurethane body mounts in yesterday because it was popping a lot when I would turn. It turns out the truck had only 2 bolts holding my cab on and it was the 2 radiator bolts. The other six bolts holding the cab on were gone and the bushings were junk. I wish I could say that it took the vibration away but it didn't.

Not the same series of truck , but I have to ask this question..I've had this 92 Silverado here on the farm since new, and recently all 3 of the passengers side cab mounts went through the frame brackets. Sooooo after some internet research, ordered the Energy Suspension Polyurethane bushing set. Original style from Dorman seemed just too expensive. Luckily all the bolts came out without breaking. But they had some rust on the shanks so Fastenal had some similar bolts available, along with some 2" hole washers I thought I might need. The bottom washers and top stem washers all cleaned up nicely. After mulling over the situation, I made up some new brackets to slip over the rear and center ones. Right front bracket had to be removed and fixed, looks like a washer will suffice on the left side. Once I got the new brackets welded in place, and the bushings and stem washer cleaned up and reinstalled, the cab sits about 1/4" higher than the box. Now I haven't torqued the bolts in yet, this is just from the weight of the cab sitting on the bushings. I know 1/8" of this extra height is from the new brackets placed on top of the old ones, but I'm guessing the additonal height is from the stiffer urethane bushings, compared to the OE rubber ones? Should I sand down 3/16"-1/4" off the top of the bushings to get them more in line to where they might be with OE bushings, or just leave it and hope with torquing down the bolts and settling, they will settle into place. Also torque on those body mount bolts..about 45 ft/lbs? of course with some blue locktite on the thread. I plan on keeping the truck around here for a long time yet. Thanks
@AnthonyJ350

I would torque them down and drive the truck. Might need to let them compress a little.
