This helped me on my ST150, I used a T-45 torx bit (all I had) instead of 7mm hex and used G clamp with vice grips to push the piston back. on axle stands, outside on a car park in the rain

My garage told me that to change each side it would take an hour, two hours to do both. I laughed and walked out because I've done it myself in the past without a lift or power tools, it took me an hour to do both including taking wheels off, changing pads and discs, greasing etc and wheels back on. Always do research before taking it to a garage to avoid getting ripped off.

Videos are great, but most DIYers don't have pneumatic lifts and air guns. I've just replaced a spring after watching your video and couldn't get the nut out of the top of the strut. It would be even better if you were able to highlight where we might have problems with mud-splattered and rusty bolts and how to overcome them. Many hanks.

Thank you for the feedback! We are glad that our tutorial was helpful for you. This video is considered to be an informative one, so it shows the sequence of repairs, without going into all the technical nuances. As for your request, it's difficult to highlight, because each car and each unit has defferent wearing process. Best regards, Autodoc.

Are you not in danger of flipping the seals in the master cylinder by just winding the pistons back? I thought it was necessary to open the bleed nipple when you retract the piston. I also noticed that nothing was torqued up including the wheel nuts.

The retainer Spring on the caliper seems to go into place very easily on this video. In the past I have struggled to get mine back on. Could it be that mine have become stiffer with age?

stupid question but do I have to change the brake disk when changing brake pads? Or can I change brake pads only?
@autodocuk

Thank you for your feedback! It all depends on the wear of the brake disc, but if the disc without strong output, then you can completely replace only the pads. Best Regards, Autodoc team.

Reading some of your replies to peoples' comments shows that whoever deals with PR on this channel is allergic to being helpful. How about you stop with the bs and actually answer peoples' questions.
@autodocuk
@autodocuk 6 лет назад
Thank you for your feedback! Could you,please, specify our replies to which you have got questions? There are questions on replacement, which are specific for each car, and if one hasn't seen the car by his own eyes, it is difficult to give ann answer on the car part replacement. And there are replacements requiring all specific tools that is avalable in the specialized car services and not always available at home. Therefore, in terms of safety precautions, we can't recommend that you do each replacement without having an experience. Best regards, Autodoc.
