Great vid now am confidend to install my big bore kit wasent sure about removing the exhaust studs so just ordered new ones abit easier

Always use a torque wrench when tightening down a cylinder head,otherwise you will get a blown headgasket eventually.

this 12 year old video taught me more than any of the new videos around

Hi, I have an Aprilia rally 50cc and would like to upgrade it to 70cc, only the piston and cylinder has to be replaced or do you need a new carburetor and other pieces? Also on a scooter, is there a squish clearance? Thanks for your help

Blir te o göra det, men hur mcyket kostar det på ett ungefär om man ska byta det och sen sätta på allt? Dvs cyllen packningar osv? alltså på en verkstad eller är du billigare? ;)

I see......I did not know that a bigger piston could use less petrol when the motor runs at the same speed as the small piston..cool:-) No idea if you are familiar with 1999 rally lc 50cc, but which 70cc cylinder/piston brand would you recommend plz/

thinking about buying this project speedfighter 2 with a missing cylinder as my first ever bike and first ever project it looks really cheap and quite easy

Hey, jag har en boatian som har värmenypt, jag har fått av cyllen etc men kolven.. den är förstörd och den har liksom böjt kolv pinnen inte vevaxeln utan den som går igenom kolven, hur får man ut detta?

Very good video but please help. I changed my head but i had to remove the engine first because of the position it is in. So i had to take all the tubes out of my carb. Now it will not start and i put it all back together. No petrol was flowing through the line and i dont know why. I have a fuel pump

Sorry, but with my bad english i dont understand, why muss protect with wand and with cloth. If something falling down inside motor, or it has some other significance?

Base gasket?

Im from Norway and i have a Yamaha Bws... It comes loud sounds from it when i start it with the kicker (There is no EL-Start). The eksos gasket was old and it fell off often, and i have change it not long ago, and i just checked if the new gasket wasnt propper placed, but its fine... I dont know why there are loud sounds.. Any one have a tip? I need help... I not an moped expert :) Its nothing wrong with the eksos gasket...

no, you have diferent cylinders for all engines, piaggio minerali etc... and then you have cyilinders made for air cooled bikes and liquid cooled.

Har knappt pengar te kolven haha, kostar 340kr för frakt osv, så har kvar den gamla eftersom den fortfarande funkar, har beställt en nu så den borde vara här om .. 2-3 dagar !

It's called a wrist pin, not piston pin..lol..and for the arrow on the piston, faces the carburetor...I mention this because reversing the jug has become more popular these days...so facing the arrow forward doesn't always work for all applications... two strokes were originally designed with the exhaust exiting the front and the carburetor intake in the rear because they wanted the heat of the exhaust out of the way and not up under your ass...so the typical two stroke engines were designed backwards...
