How to Change Default Animations in ROBLOX STUDIO (IDLE, WALKING, RUNNING ...) 

Here are some tips to common problems: Animation not WORKING: Make sure that your animation is OWNED by you and that BOTH IDs are changed. Animation not LOOPING: Make sure that your animation is set to LOOPED. When you create the animation, you have to enable the looping in the animation editor itself. Run animation not working: For run to work, your character's speed must be higher than the default of 16 (which is considered walk). Hope this helps!

when I play it (not on roblox studio) the animation will not play

for the people who says i doesnt work first check if its movement priority and try going to model press play delete your character folder and end it and play again and insert your animate back into characterscipts and put the id in walk instead of run

If this is not working and the reason is that Purchased Animation Packs Overrides Custom Animations then go to game settings and set animations to standard

It doesnt let me publish the animation on library for some reason

if u guys are doing animations on r6 and you followed all the steps but its not working, what u have to do is go to game settings, publish the game, then go to game settings again and go down to avatar and select r6

When I try uploading animations, the button at the bottom that says “upload” is not there for me. So when I try uploading, I can edit the name a description but can’t actually upload the animation. How do I fix that?

my idle animation isnt working. i set all the animation ids to my own idle anim, and set the 2 idle "animation1" and "animation2" to the animation id. Yet its still playing the starter animation. Im still unsure what the problem is

Mine didn't work one thing I did notice with mine when I went to the idle anim script there was 2 lines of code directing to the idle animation but with yours there was 3

when i publish my game the animation wont play.

if you want a walk anim, so you need to put the animation in run because its faster then 0 walk speed yw respond if there is a problem😀

I have done a walk animation and it partially works, it is looped and plays, but it only plays and loops the first bit of the animation. So it looks like the character is constantly trying to take a step.

When I put the id for the walking emanation it just freezes the anamation

So, my idle animation doesn’t continue when I move. What I am saying is that when I move and stop again, the idle is not my custom one, but instead the default Roblox one. Can someone explain how to fix this?

for some reason my walking animation just isn't loading even though I've followed the instructions completely and changed the game setting to fit R15 and changed the settings to standard yet my animation won't load is it because it's from blender? And for some reason my animation played when my rig ISN'T anchored but when it's anchored then it won't play... how can I get blender animations to play anchored and unanchored???

I was wondering if there’s a way to create a UI that switches between animations? For example, if I clicked a button, then maybe my walk style would be like a zombie, and if I clicked another button, I would walk normally? Sorry if this is a whack explanation 🤓 I’m trying to make a (sorta) military type of game, and I want each role in said game to have a different “feel” to it- so, for example, a medic wouldn’t have the same exact animations as someone who is constantly in battlefield! I’m a One-Person team so I can’t exactly find someone to script this for me, RU-vid tutorials are my livelyhood right now 💀 The animation tutorial itself worked super well!
