Great advise. I have met a few drivers that have never changed any cab filters, ever... Makes me wonder how many more I would find if I actually went around asking that question instead of just through random conversation. That is one of the first things I check any time I get into a new (or new to me) truck, even if the plastic is still on the seats... and yes, I have found filthy filters on a truck with only 88 miles on it before... I hadn't even had the keys for 15 minutes yet. The lead mechanic in the shop was like "How can you need new filters in a brand new truck?" He was just as shocked as I was. I told the mechanic I could change them out, but he insisted on doing it himself... He video taped himself changing them, showing how filthy they were, and showing the odometer reading too... The company investigated... Turned out one of my coworkers, a lease operator, decided he would save himself some money by exchanging his old filters with the new ones in the brand new, and unlocked company truck in the yard... Probably figured whoever got the truck would never check them on a truck with virtually no miles... From what I heard, he tried to deny it, but he was caught on video. He lost his job and his lease over it. He had to pay for not only the filters, but also took a financial hit at the leasing office too... I am sure it still haunts him professionally, assuming he is still in trucking. Just for the record, I am NOT a prime driver, nor have I ever been. This happened at another company.
Only knew about 2 inside, 2024 model doesn’t have under bunk filter. Under hood filter was confusing so thank you! Changing ALL EVERY month plus hit with fresher before install helps keep truck smelling good 😅
Ewww… Totally gonna be pulling all of those covers off and checking our filters! Thanks Twisted! Do these filters come in a bundle or do I have to find each one separately?
