thanks for this vid. in the process of doing this to my 2009 w169 in Japan. I'm experiencing some clunking in the right front when i go over bumps. should i replace the strut mounts and bumpstop too? where should i get parts? especially to ship to japan? thanks in advance
Remember to not buy the cheap and non OEM dampers for the W169 and W245. They come with Bilstein B4 dampmatic dampers that have an oil flow valve to vary firmness.
@@-_-_-.... Yes you can get cheaper dampers with flow control too. Though anyone doing so will hopefully do both axles at a minimum and hopefully change all of them
@@psions555 i always do both sides, always, same for the other 'moving' parts.. in any case, even if still good always both sides all parts i know people who change 1 or 2 spark plugs... but i'm not that kind of person. LOL, anyway the aftermarket hydraulic dampers are nowadays surprisingly good quality, compared back to the 90s aftermarket stuff, the stuff nowadays has much better quality, and if bought in Germany, it's subjected to T.u.v (mot) standards, otherwise they can't be sold ( other words, if the quality is crap it won't get on the shelves) also, the most German people, prefer the middle way, wich is the Lemförder parts, like Meyle and so on, those are better quality/often reinforced versions.
